Come, let us deal wisely with them: lest they multiply, and it shall come to pass, that when there falleth out any war, they will join with our enemies, and fight against us, and depart from the land.

וְנִלְחַם־ (נִלְחַם) nil.cham- “it will fight”

The LORD will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

יִלָּחֵ֣ם yi.la.Chem “he will fight”

And took off their chariot-wheels, and made them to move heavily, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

נִלְחָ֥ם nil.Cham “[is] fighting”

Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

וַיִּלָּ֥חֶם (יִּלָּ֥חֶם) i.yi.La.chem “it joined battle”

And Moses said to Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to-morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.

הִלָּחֵ֣ם hi.la.Chem “fight”

So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur, went up to the top of the hill.

לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם (הִלָּחֵ֖ם) hi.la.Chem “fighting”

And when king Arad the Canaanite, who dwelt in the south, heard that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.

וַיִּלָּ֙חֶם֙ (יִּלָּ֙חֶם֙) i.yi.La.chem “he engaged in battle”

And Sihon would not suffer Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon collected all his people, and went out against Israel into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel:

וַיִּלָּ֖חֶם (יִּלָּ֖חֶם) i.yi.La.chem “he engaged in battle”

For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even to Arnon.

נִלְחַ֗ם nil.Cham “he had waged war”

Behold, there has a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse them for me: it may be I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out.

לְהִלָּ֥חֶם (הִלָּ֥חֶם) hi.La.chem “engage in battle”

The LORD your God who goeth before you; he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;

יִלָּחֵ֣ם yi.la.Chem “he will fight”

Then ye answered and said to me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to ascend the hill.

וְנִלְחַ֔מְנוּ (נִלְחַ֔מְנוּ) nil.Cham.nu “we will fight”

And the LORD said to me, Say to them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.

תִלָּ֣חֲמ֔וּ ti.La.cha.Mu “you must fight”

Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.

הַנִּלְחָ֥ם (נִּלְחָ֥ם) nil.Cham “[one who] will fight”

For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

לְהִלָּחֵ֥ם (הִלָּחֵ֥ם) hi.la.Chem “fight”

When thou comest nigh to a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace to it.

לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם (הִלָּחֵ֖ם) hi.la.Chem “fight”

When thou shalt besiege a city a long time in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees of it by forcing an ax against them; for thou mayest eat of them: and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege:

לְֽהִלָּחֵ֧ם (הִלָּחֵ֧ם) hi.la.Chem “fight”

That they assembled themselves, to fight with Joshua and with Israel, with one accord.

לְהִלָּחֵ֥ם (הִלָּחֵ֥ם) hi.la.Chem “wage war”

Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, assembled themselves, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.

וַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ (יִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ) i.yi.la.cha.Mu “they waged war”

And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened to the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.

נִלְחָ֖ם nil.Cham “[was] fighting”

And Joshua said to them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.

נִלְחָמִ֥ים nil.cha.Mim “[are] fighting”

Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, to Libnah, and fought against Libnah:

וַיִּלָּ֖חֶם (יִּלָּ֖חֶם) i.yi.La.chem “he engaged in battle”

And Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, to Lachish, and encamped against it, and fought against it:

וַיִּלָּ֖חֶם (יִּלָּ֖חֶם) i.yi.La.chem “he engaged in battle”

And from Lachish Joshua passed to Eglon, and all Israel with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:

וַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ (יִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ) i.yi.la.cha.Mu “they engaged in battle”

And Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, to Hebron; and they fought against it:

וַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ (יִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ) i.yi.la.cha.Mu “they engaged in battle”
