Hebrew and Greek data: STEPBible
STEPBible created the following datasets, based on work at Tyndale House, Cambridge. We use them for the Hebrew and Greek text behind the translations, the Strong's numbers and lexicons, the morphology and the versification.

Our changes
For this website, we changed STEPBible's data as follows:
- reformatted it into a database and left out the columns we don't use
- normalized the Strong's numbers; for the word alignment, the Greek words are used in a normalized form (Unicode NFC, lower case, without punctuation, the grave accent written as the acute), and the Hebrew words by their Strong's numbers, not their text; the text is displayed as in the source
- sanitized the HTML of the lexicon definitions: only simple formatting is kept, and Bible references and Strong's numbers become links
- counted the English glosses of each Strong's number, leaving aside words in square brackets, punctuation and capitalization
- split the Hebrew words into their separately tagged parts (prefixes, stem, suffixes) and gave each part the language letter of its morphology code; paragraph marks (פ, ס) and words that are written but not read (Ketiv without Qere) are left out
- gave each Greek word a single Strong's number (a merged word such as κἀγώ, which STEPBible tags with a number for each part, gets STEPBible's alternative number for the whole word, otherwise its last part's) and took over the editions without their word-order displacements; paragraph marks (¶) and other numberings' verse markers in the English glosses are left out, and the Spanish translation is not used
- show the explanations of the morphology codes as a summary, a meaning and an example, without STEPBible's quotation marks around whole lines and its “Example:” labels, with commas for the low quotation marks (‚) that stand for commas, and with the underlined words of the examples in italics
