They that are deceased tremble Beneath the waters and the inhabitants thereof.

הָרְפָאִ֥ים (רְפָאִ֥ים) re.fa.'Im “shades”

Wilt thou show wonders to the dead? Shall they that are decreased arise and praise thee? Selah

רְ֝פָאִ֗ים re.fa.'Im “[the] shades”

For her house inclineth unto death, And her paths unto the dead;

רְ֝פָאִ֗ים re.fa.'Im “[the] shades”

But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.

רְפָאִ֣ים re.fa.'Im “[the] shades”

The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding Shall rest in the assembly of the dead.

Sheol from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming; it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

[ergänzt: They are] dead, they shall not live; [ergänzt: they are] deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all remembrance of them to perish.

Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust; for thy dew is [ergänzt: as] the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.
