Forty years long was I grieved with [ergänzt: that] generation, And said, It is a people that do err in their heart, And they have not known my ways:
אָ֘ק֤וּט 'a.Kut “I loathed”
I beheld the treacherous, and was grieved, Because they observe not thy word.
וָֽאֶתְקוֹטָ֑טָה (אֶתְקוֹטָ֑טָ) 'et.ko.Ta.ta “I felt disgust”
Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
אֶתְקוֹטָֽט׃ 'et.ko.Tat “do I loathe?”
And those of you that escape shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captive, how that I have been broken with their lewd heart, which hath departed from me, and with they eyes, which play the harlot after their idols: and they shall loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
וְנָקֹ֙טּוּ֙ (נָקֹ֙טּוּ֙) na.Ko.tu “they will loathe”
And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have polluted yourselves; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.
וּנְקֹֽטֹתֶם֙ (נְקֹֽטֹתֶם֙) ne.ko.to.Tem “you will loathe”
Then shall ye remember your evil ways, and your doings that were not good; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
