G2758–κενόω–kenoō

For if they that are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect:

κεκένωται kekenōtai “has been made void”

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.

κενωθῇ kenōthēa “may be emptied of power”

But I have used none of these things: and I write not these things that it may be so done in my case; for [ergänzt: it were] good for me rather to die, than that any man should make my glorifying void.

κενώσει. kenōsei “will make void.”

But I have sent the brethren, that our glorying on your behalf may not be made void in this respect; that, even as I said, ye may be prepared:

κενωθῇ kenōthēa “may be made void”

but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men;

ἐκένωσεν ekenōsen “emptied”
