And the watchman saw another man running; and the watchman called unto the porter, and said: 'Behold another man running alone.' And the king said: 'He also bringeth tidings.'

הַשֹּׁעֵ֔ר (שֹּׁעֵ֔ר) sho.'Er “gatekeeper”

So they came and called unto the porters of the city; and they told them, saying. 'We came to the camp of the Arameans, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but the horses tied, and the asses tied, and the tents as they were.'

שֹׁעֵ֣ר sho.'Er “[the] gatekeeper of”

And the porters called, and they told it to the king's household within.

הַשֹּֽׁעֲרִ֑ים (שֹּֽׁעֲרִ֑ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

And the porters: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brother Shallum the chief;

וְהַשֹּׁעֲרִים֙ (שֹּׁעֲרִים֙) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

who hitherto waited in the king's gate eastward; they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi.

הַשֹּׁ֣עֲרִ֔ים (שֹּׁ֣עֲרִ֔ים) Sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tent of meeting.

שֹׁעֵ֥ר sho.'Er “[was] a gatekeeper of”

All these that were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.

לְשֹׁעֲרִ֣ים (שֹׁעֲרִ֣ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

On the four sides were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.

הַשֹּׁעֲרִ֑ים (שֹּׁעֲרִ֑ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

for the four chief porters were in a set office. These were the Levites. They were also over the chambers and over the treasuries in the house of God.

הַשֹּׁעֲרִ֔ים (שֹּׁעֲרִ֔ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

and with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphalehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.

הַשֹּׁעֲרִֽים׃ (שֹּׁעֲרִֽים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

And Berechiah and Elkanah were door-keepers for the ark.

שֹׁעֲרִ֖ים sho.'a.Rim “[were] gatekeepers”

And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God; and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

שֹׁעֲרִ֖ים sho.'a.Rim “[were] gatekeepers”

and Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jedithun and Hosah to be door-keepers;

לְשֹׁעֲרִֽים׃ (שֹׁעֲרִֽים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

and four thousand were doorkeepers; and four thousand praised the LORD `with the instruments which I made to praise therewith.'

For the courses of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites: Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

לְשֹׁעֲרִ֑ים (שֹׁעֲרִ֑ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

These courses of the doorkeepers, even the chief men, had wards over against their brethren, to minister in the house of the LORD.

הַשֹּֽׁעֲרִ֜ים (שֹּֽׁעֲרִ֜ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

These were the courses of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.

הַשֹּׁ֣עֲרִ֔ים (שֹּׁ֣עֲרִ֔ים) Sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

And he appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise, and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required; the doorkeepers also by the

וְהַשּׁוֹעֲרִ֥ים (שּׁוֹעֲרִ֥ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

This is the thing that ye shall do: a third part of you, that come in on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors;

לְשֹֽׁעֲרֵ֖י (שֹֽׁעֲרֵ֖י) sho.'a.Rei “[the] gatekeepers of”

And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the LORD, that none that was unclean in any thing should enter in.

הַשּׁ֣וֹעֲרִ֔ים (שּׁ֣וֹעֲרִ֔ים) Sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter at the east gate, was over the freewill-offerings of God, to distribute the offerings of the LORD, and the most holy things.

הַשּׁוֹעֵ֣ר (שּׁוֹעֵ֣ר) sho.'Er “gatekeeper”

Also they were over the bearers of burdens, and presided over all that did the work in every manner of service; and of the Levites there were scribes, and officers, and porters.

וְשׁוֹעֲרִֽים׃ (שׁוֹעֲרִֽים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the porters were at every gate; they needed not to depart from their service, for their brethren the Lev

וְהַשֹּׁעֲרִ֖ים (שֹּׁעֲרִ֖ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

The children of the porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, in all a hundred thirty and nine.

הַשֹּֽׁעֲרִ֗ים (שֹּֽׁעֲרִ֗ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”

So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinim, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.

וְהַשּׁוֹעֲרִ֛ים (שּׁוֹעֲרִ֛ים) sho.'a.Rim “gatekeepers”
