And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and will proclaim the name of Jehovah before thee; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

וְרִחַמְתִּ֖י (רִחַמְתִּ֖י) ri.cham.Ti “I will have compassion on”אֲרַחֵֽם׃ 'a.ra.Chem “I will have compassion”

And there shall cleave nought of the devoted thing to thy hand; that Jehovah may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;

וְרִֽחַמְךָ֣ (רִֽחַמְ) ri.cham. “he will have compassion on”

that then Jehovah thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the peoples, whither Jehovah thy God hath scattered thee.

וְרִחֲמֶ֑ךָ (רִחֲמֶ֑) ri.cha.Me. “he will have compassion on”

and forgive thy people who have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee; and give them compassion before those who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them;

וְרִֽחֲמֽוּם׃ (רִֽחֲמֽוּ) Ri.cha.Mu “they will have compassion on”

But Jehovah was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

וַֽיְרַחֲמֵם֙ (יְרַחֲמֵ) y.ra.cha.Me “he had compassion on”

I love thee, O Jehovah, my strength.

אֶרְחָמְךָ֖ (אֶרְחָמְ) 'er.cha.me. “I love”

Thou wilt arise, and have mercy upon Zion; For it is time to have pity upon her, Yea, the set time is come.

תְּרַחֵ֣ם te.ra.Chem “you will have compassion on”

Like as a father pitieth his children, So Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.

כְּרַחֵ֣ם (רַחֵ֣ם) ra.Chem “has compassion”רִחַ֥ם ri.Cham “he has compassion”

Gracious is Jehovah, and righteous; Yea, our God is merciful.

מְרַחֵֽם׃ me.ra.Chem “[is] compassionate”

He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper: But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall obtain mercy.

יְרֻחָֽם׃ ye.ru.Cham “he will be shown mercy”

Therefore the Lord will not rejoice over their young men, neither will he have compassion on their fatherless and widows; for every one is profane and an evil-doer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

יְרַחֵ֔ם ye.ra.Chem “he has compassion on”

And [ergänzt: their] bows shall dash the young men in pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.

יְרַחֵ֔מוּ ye.ra.Che.mu “they will have compassion on”

For Jehovah will have compassion on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the sojourner shall join himself with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

יְרַחֵ֨ם ye.ra.Chem “he will have compassion on”

When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women shall come, and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have compassion upon them, and he that formed them will show them no favor.

יְרַחֲמֶ֣נּוּ (יְרַחֲמֶ֣) ye.ra.cha.Me. “he will have compassion on”

And therefore will Jehovah wait, that he may be gracious unto you; and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for Jehovah is a God of justice; blessed are all they that wait for him.

לְרַֽחֶמְכֶ֑ם (רַֽחֶמְ) ra.chem. “have compassion on”

They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them will lead them, even by springs of water will he guide them.

מְרַחֲמָ֣ם (מְרַחֲמָ֣) me.ra.cha.Ma “[one who] has compassion on”

Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for Jehovah hath comforted his people, and will have compassion upon his afflicted.

יְרַחֵֽם׃ ye.ra.Chem “he has compassion on”

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, these may forget, yet will not I forget thee.

מֵרַחֵ֖ם (רַחֵ֖ם) ra.Chem “having compassion on”

In overflowing wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting lovingkindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Jehovah thy Redeemer.

רִֽחַמְתִּ֑יךְ (רִֽחַמְתִּ֑י) ri.cham.Ti “I will have compassion on”

For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my lovingkindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith Jehovah that hath mercy on thee.

מְרַחֲמֵ֖ךְ (מְרַחֲמֵ֖) me.ra.cha.Me “[one who] has compassion on”

let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

וִֽירַחֲמֵ֔הוּ (ירַחֲמֵ֔) ra.cha.Me. “he may have compassion on”

And foreigners shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favor have I had mercy on thee.

רִֽחַמְתִּֽיךְ׃ (רִֽחַמְתִּֽי) Ri.cham.Ti “I have had compassion on”

They lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea, and they ride upon horses, every one set in array, as a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Zion.

יְרַחֵ֔מוּ ye.ra.Che.mu “they have mercy”

And it shall come to pass, after that I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them; and I will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.

וְרִֽחַמְתִּ֑ים (רִֽחַמְתִּ֑י) ri.cham.Ti “I will have compassion on”

And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith Jehovah: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have compassion, that I should not destroy them.
