H4498–מָנוֹס–ma.nos

God is my rock, in him will I trust -- My shield, and the horn of my salvation, My high tower, and my refuge, My saviour: thou wilt save me from violence.

וּמְנוּסִ֔י (מְנוּסִ֔) me.nu.S “place of escape”

But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and [ergänzt: all] refuge shall vanish from them, and their hope [ergänzt: shall be] the breathing out of life.

וּ֭מָנוֹס (מָנוֹס) ma.nos “a place of escape”

But as for me, I will sing of thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of thy loving-kindness in the morning; for thou hast been to me a high fortress, and a refuge in the day of my trouble.

Look on the right hand and see; there is no man that knoweth me: refuge hath failed me; no man careth for my soul.

Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of distress, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and they shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited falsehood [ergänzt: and] vanity; and in these things there is no profit.

And refuge shall perish from the shepherds, and escape from the noble ones of the flock.

Why do I see them dismayed, turned away back? And their mighty ones are beaten down, and take to flight, and look not back? Terror [ergänzt: is] on every side, saith Jehovah.

And flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver his soul.
