H1504–גָּזַר–ga.zar

And the king said: 'Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.'

גִּזְר֛וּ giz.Ru “cut”

Then spoke the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her heart yearned upon her son, and she said: 'Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it.' But the other said: 'It shall be neither mine nor thine; divide it.'

גְּזֹֽרוּ׃ ge.Zo.ru “cut”

So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down wood.

וַֽיִּגְזְר֖וּ (יִּגְזְר֖וּ) i.yig.ze.Ru “they cut down”

And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a house set apart, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD; and Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.

נִגְזַ֖ר nig.Zar “he was cut off”

After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was assuaged, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.

נִגְזַ֖ר nig.Zar “it had been decreed”

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee, and light shall shine upon thy ways.

וְֽתִגְזַר־ (תִגְזַר) tig.zar- “you may decide”

Set apart among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom Thou rememberest no more; and they are cut off from Thy hand.

נִגְזָֽרוּ׃ nig.Za.ru “they are cut off”

To Him who divided the Red Sea in sunder, for His mercy endureth for ever;

לְגֹזֵ֣ר (גֹזֵ֣ר) go.Zer “[one who] cut”

And one snatcheth on the right hand, and is hungry; and he eateth on the left hand, and is not satisfied; they eat every man the flesh of his own arm:

וַיִּגְזֹ֤ר (יִּגְזֹ֤ר) i.yig.Zor “it devoured”

By oppression and judgment he was taken away, and with his generation who did reason? for he was cut off out of the land of the living, for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due.

נִגְזַר֙ nig.Zar “he was cut off”

Waters flowed over my head; I said: 'I am cut off.'

נִגְזָֽרְתִּי׃ nig.Za.re.ti “I have been cut off”

Then He said unto me: 'Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; behold, they say: Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.

נִגְזַ֥רְנוּ nig.Zar.nu “we have been cut off”

For though the fig-tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls;

גָּזַ֤ר ga.Zar “someone cuts off”
