G1465–ἐγκόπτω–egkoptō

But, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I entreat thee to hear us of thy clemency a few words.

ἐγκόπτω, egkoptō “I may be a hindrance,”

Wherefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you:

ἐνεκοπτόμην enekoptomēn “I was being hindered”

Ye were running well; who hindered you that ye should not obey the truth?

ἐνέκοψεν enekopsen “impeded”

because we would fain have come unto you, I Paul once and again; and Satan hindered us.

ἐνέκοψεν enekopsen “hindered”

Ye husbands, in like manner, dwell with [ergänzt: your wives] according to knowledge, giving honor unto the woman, as unto the weaker vessel, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your prayers be not hindered.

ἐγκόπτεσθαι egkoptesthai “[cause to] be impeded”
