And if ye will not yet for these things hearken unto me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.

לְיַסְּרָ֣ה (יַסְּרָ֣ה) ya.se.Rah “discipline”

And if by these things ye will not be reformed unto me, but will walk contrary unto me;

תִוָּסְר֖וּ ti.vas.Ru “you will let yourself be disciplined”

then I will walk contrary unto you in wrath; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.

וְיִסַּרְתִּ֤י (יִסַּרְתִּ֤י) yi.sar.Ti “I will discipline”

Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he made thee to see his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

And thou shalt consider in thy heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so Jehovah thy God chasteneth thee.

If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, that will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and, though they chasten him, will not hearken unto them;

And the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him;

And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.

Behold, thou hast instructed many, And thou hast strengthened the weak hands.

Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

הִ֝וָּסְר֗וּ hi.va.se.Ru “let yourselves be instructed”

O Jehovah, rebuke me not in thine anger, Neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃ (תְיַסְּרֵֽ) te.ya.se.Re. “you discipline”

I will bless Jehovah, who hath given me counsel; Yea, my heart instructeth me in the night seasons.

יִסְּר֥וּנִי (יִסְּר֥וּ) yi.se.Ru. “they have instructed”

O Jehovah, rebuke me not in thy wrath; Neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃ (תְיַסְּרֵֽ) te.ya.se.Re. “may you chasten”

When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, Thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: Surely every man is vanity. Selah

יִסַּ֬רְתָּ yi.Sar.ta “you have disciplined”

He that chastiseth the nations, shall not he correct, [supplied: Even] he that teacheth man knowledge?

הֲיֹסֵ֣ר (יֹסֵ֣ר) yo.Ser “[the] discipliner of”

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah, And teachest out of thy law;

תְּיַסְּרֶ֣נּוּ (תְּיַסְּרֶ֣) te.yas.se.Re. “you discipline”

Jehovah hath chastened me sore; But he hath not given me over unto death.

יַסֹּ֣ר ya.Sor “certainly <to discipline>”יִסְּרַ֣נִּי (יִסְּרַ֣) yi.se.Ra. “he has disciplined”

He that correcteth a scoffer getteth to himself reviling; And he that reproveth a wicked man [supplied: getteth] himself a blot.

יֹ֤סֵ֨ר׀ yo.Ser “[one who] admonishes”

Chasten thy son, seeing there is hope; nd set not thy heart on his destruction.

יַסֵּ֣ר ya.Ser “discipline”

Correct thy son, and he will give thee rest; Yea, he will give delight unto thy soul.

A servant will not be corrected by words; For though he understand, he will not give heed.
