So are the paths of all that forget God; and the profane man's hope shall perish,

חָנֵ֣ף cha.Nef “[the] godless”

This also shall be my salvation, that a profane man shall not come before his face.

חָנֵ֥ף cha.Nef “a godless [person]”

For the family of the ungodly shall be barren, and fire shall consume the tents of bribery.

חָנֵ֣ף cha.Nef “[the] godless”

Upright men [supplied: shall be] astonished at this, and the innocent shall be stirred up against the ungodly;

חָנֵ֥ף cha.Nef “[the] godless”

The exultation of the wicked is short, and the joy of the ungodly man but for a moment?

חָנֵ֣ף cha.Nef “[the] godless”

For what is the hope of the ungodly, when [supplied: God] cutteth him off, when +God taketh away his soul?

חָ֭נֵף Cha.nef “a godless [person]”

That the ungodly man reign not, that the people be not ensnared.

חָנֵ֗ף cha.Nef “godless”

But the godless in heart heap up anger; they cry not when he bindeth them:

וְֽחַנְפֵי־ (חַנְפֵי) chan.fei- “[people] godless of”

With profane jesters for bread, they have gnashed their teeth against me.

בְּ֭חַנְפֵי (חַנְפֵי) chan.fei “godless [ones] of”

With his mouth a hypocrite destroyeth his neighbour; but through knowledge are the righteous delivered.

חָ֭נֵף Cha.nef “a godless [person]”

Therefore the Lord will not rejoice in their young men, neither will he have mercy on their fatherless and on their widows; for every one is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.

חָנֵ֣ף cha.Nef “[is] godless”

I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge; to take the spoil, and to seize the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

חָנֵף֙ cha.Nef “godless”

The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling hath surprised the hypocrites: Who among us shall dwell with the consuming fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting flames?

חֲנֵפִ֑ים cha.ne.Fim “godless [people]”
