Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, that shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

וּבִ֣ינַתְכֶ֔ם (בִ֣ינַתְ) Vi.nat. “understanding”

And of the children of Issachar, men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

Only Jehovah give thee discretion and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel; that so thou mayest keep the law of Jehovah thy God.

Huram said moreover, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with discretion and understanding, that should build a house for Jehovah, and a house for his kingdom.

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.

Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who hath given understanding to the mind?

Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, Neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

Is it by thy wisdom that the hawk soareth, (And) stretcheth her wings toward the south?

הֲֽ֭מִבִּינָ֣תְךָ (בִּינָ֣תְ) bi.Na.te. “understanding”

To know wisdom and instruction; To discern the words of understanding;

Yea, if thou cry after discernment, And lift up thy voice for understanding;

לַבִּינָ֣ה (בִּינָ֣ה) bi.Nah “discernment”

Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart, And lean not upon thine own understanding:

בִּֽ֝ינָתְךָ֗ (בִּֽ֝ינָתְ) bi.na.te. “own understanding”

Hear, [supplied: my] sons, the instruction of a father, And attend to know understanding:

Get wisdom, get understanding; Forget not, neither decline from the words of my mouth;

בִינָ֑ה vi.Nah “understanding”

Wisdom [supplied: is] the principal thing; [supplied: therefore] get wisdom; Yea, with all thy getting get understanding.

Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; And call understanding [supplied: thy] kinswoman:

לַבִּינָ֥ה (בִּינָ֥ה) bi.Nah “discernment”

Counsel is mine, and sound knowledge: I am understanding; I have might.

Leave off, ye simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding.

The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! Yea, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.
