And all their works they do to be seen of men: for they make broad their phylacteries and enlarge the borders [supplied: of their garments],

πλατύνουσιν platunousin “They broaden”

Our mouth is opened to you, Corinthians, our heart is expanded.

πεπλάτυνται· peplatuntai “has been expanded;”

but for an answering recompense, (I speak as to children,) let *your* heart also expand itself.

πλατύνθητε platunthēte “do open [yourselves]”
