*I* indeed baptise you with water to repentance, but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not fit to bear; *he* shall baptise you with [supplied: the] Holy Spirit and fire;

Then saith he to his disciples, The harvest [supplied: is] great and the workmen [supplied: are] few;

And if the house indeed be worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

and as he sowed, some [supplied: grains] fell along the way, and the birds came and devoured them;

and others fell upon the good ground, and produced fruit, one a hundred, one sixty, and one thirty.

But he that is sown upon the good ground -- this is he who hears and understands the word, who bears fruit also, and produces, one a hundred, one sixty, and one thirty.

which is less indeed than all seeds, but when it is grown is greater than herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of heaven come and roost in its branches.

and in the morning, A storm to-day, for the sky is red [supplied: and] lowering; ye know [supplied: how] to discern the face of the sky, but ye cannot the signs of the times.

And they said, Some, John the baptist; and others, Elias; and others again, Jeremias or one of the prophets.

And he answering said to them, Elias indeed comes first and will restore all things.

[supplied: And] he says to them, Ye shall drink indeed my cup, but to sit on my right hand and on [supplied: my] left, is not mine to give, but to those for whom it is prepared of my Father.

And the husbandmen took his bondmen, and beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.

Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for ye are like whited sepulchres, which appear beautiful outwardly, but within are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.

Thus also *ye*, outwardly ye appear righteous to men, but within are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his particular ability, and immediately went away out of the country.

and he will set the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on [supplied: his] left.

The Son of man goes indeed, according as it is written concerning him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is delivered up; it were good for that man if he had not been born.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [supplied: is] ready, but the flesh weak.

And it came to pass as he sowed, one fell by the wayside, and the birds came and devoured it.

And he answering said to them, Elias indeed, having first come, restores all things; and how is it written of the Son of man that he must suffer much, and be set at nought:

And they said to him, We are able. And Jesus said to them, The cup that *I* drink ye will drink and with the baptism that *I* am baptised with ye will be baptised,

And [supplied: again] he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, beating some and killing some.
