Now these are the last words of David: David the son of Jesse saith, And the man who was raised up on high, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel saith,
עָ֔ל 'Al “height”
He will call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people:
מֵעָ֑ל (עָ֑ל) 'Al “above”
They return, [ergänzt: but] not to the [ergänzt: Most] High: they are like a deceitful bow. Their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
עָ֗ל 'Al “height”
Yea, my people are bent upon backsliding from me: though they call them to the Most High, none at all exalteth [ergänzt: him].
