Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of distress, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and they shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited falsehood [ergänzt: and] vanity; and in these things there is no profit.

נָחֲל֣וּ na.cha.Lu “they possessed”

And the prince shall not take of the people's inheritance, to thrust them by oppression out of their possession: he shall give his sons an inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every one from his possession.

יַנְחִ֣ל yan.Chil “he will cause to inherit”

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This shall be the border whereby ye shall allot the land as inheritance according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph [ergänzt: shall have two] portions.

תִּתְנַחֲל֣וּ tit.na.cha.Lu “you will give as possession”

And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another, [ergänzt: the land] concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it unto your fathers; and this land shall fall to you for inheritance.

וּנְחַלְתֶּ֤ם (נְחַלְתֶּ֤ם) ne.chal.Tem “you will divide as possession”

Therefore, [ergänzt: as] I live, saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Moab shall certainly be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles, and salt-pits, and a perpetual desolation; the remnant of my people shall spoil them, and the residue of my nation shall possess them.

יִנְחָלֽוּם׃ (יִנְחָלֽוּ) yin.cha.Lu “they will take possession of”

And Jehovah shall inherit Judah [ergänzt: as] his portion in the holy land, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

וְנָחַ֨ל (נָחַ֨ל) na.Chal “he will inherit”

for the seed shall be prosperous, the vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its produce, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these [ergänzt: things].

וְהִנְחַלְתִּ֗י (הִנְחַלְתִּ֗י) hin.chal.Ti “I will give as an inheritance”
