And Solomon built the house and finished it.

וַיְכַלֵּֽהוּ׃ (יְכַלֵּֽ) y.kha.Le. “he finished”

and in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished in all its parts, and according to all the fashion of it. So he was seven years in building it.

כָּלָ֣ה ka.Lah “it was complete”

And Solomon was thirteen years building his own house; and he finished all his house.

וַיְכַ֖ל (יְכַ֖ל) y.Khal “he completed”

And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the bowls. So Hiram ended doing all the work that he made for king Solomon [ergänzt: for] the house of Jehovah:

וַיְכַ֣ל (יְכַ֣ל) y.Khal “he finished”

And it was so, that when Solomon had ended praying all this prayer and supplication to Jehovah, he arose from before the altar of Jehovah, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread forth to the heavens,

כְּכַלּ֣וֹת (כַלּ֣וֹת) kha.Lot “had finished”

And it came to pass when Solomon had completed the building of the house of Jehovah, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,

כְּכַלּ֣וֹת (כַלּ֣וֹת) kha.Lot “had finished”

And it came to pass as soon as they had ended offering up the burnt-offering, that Jehu said to the couriers and to the captains, Go in, slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the couriers and the captains cast [ergänzt: them] there. And they went to the city of the house of Baal,

כְּכַלֹּת֣וֹ׀ (כַלֹּת֣) kha.lo.T “finished”

And when David had ended offering up the burnt-offerings and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah.

וַיְכַ֣ל (יְכַ֣ל) y.Khal “he finished”

Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he did not finish; and there fell wrath for it upon Israel; and the number was not put in the account of the chronicles of king David.

כִלָּ֔ה khi.Lah “he finished”

And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and courageous, and do it; fear not nor be dismayed: for Jehovah Elohim, my God, will be with thee; he will not leave thee, neither forsake thee, until all the work for the service of the house of Jehovah is finished.

לִכְל֕וֹת (כְל֕וֹת) kh.Lot “is complete”

And Huram made the pots and the shovels and the bowls. So Huram ended doing the work that he made for king Solomon in the house of God:

וַיְכַ֣ל (יְכַ֣ל) y.Khal “he finished”

And when Solomon had ended praying, the fire came down from the heavens and consumed the burnt-offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of Jehovah filled the house.

וּכְכַלּ֤וֹת (כַלּ֤וֹת) kha.Lot “finished”

And Solomon completed the house of Jehovah, and the king's house; and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of Jehovah, and in his own house, he did prosperously.

וַיְכַ֧ל (יְכַ֧ל) y.Khal “he finished”

And all the work of Solomon was prepared, to the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah and to its completion. [ergänzt: So] the house of Jehovah was finished.

כְּלֹת֑וֹ (כְּלֹת֑) ke.lo.T “was complete”

And the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, to exterminate and destroy [ergänzt: them]; and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

וּכְכַלּוֹתָם֙ (כַלּוֹתָ) kha.lo.Ta “had finished”

And all the princes and all the people rejoiced, and brought in and cast into the chest, until they had finished.

לְכַלֵּֽה׃ (כַלֵּֽה) kha.Leh “finished”

And when they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada; and they made of it vessels for the house of Jehovah, utensils to minister, and with which to offer up, and cups, and utensils of gold and silver. And they offered up burnt-offerings in the house of Jehovah continually all the days of Jehoiada.

וּֽכְכַלּוֹתָ֡ם (כַלּוֹתָ֡) kha.lo.Ta “had finished”

And they began on the first of the first month to hallow, and on the eighth day of the month they came to the porch of Jehovah; and they hallowed the house of Jehovah eight days; and on the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.

כִּלּֽוּ׃ ki.Lu “they finished”

And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded, all [ergänzt: the time] until the burnt-offering was finished.

לִכְל֥וֹת (כְל֥וֹת) kh.Lot “was complete”

And when they had ended offering the burnt-offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves and worshipped.

וּכְכַלּ֖וֹת (כַלּ֖וֹת) kha.Lot “finished”

Only the priests were too few, and they could not flay all the burnt-offerings; therefore their brethren the Levites helped them, until the work was ended, and until the priests had hallowed themselves; for the Levites were more upright in heart to hallow themselves than the priests.

כְּל֤וֹת ke.Lot “was complete”

And when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and broke the columns, and hewed down the Asherahs, and demolished the high places and the altars in all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. And all the children of Israel returned every man to his possession, into their cities.

וּכְכַלּ֣וֹת (כַלּ֣וֹת) kha.Lot “finished”

In the third month they began to lay the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.

כִּלּֽוּ׃ ki.Lu “they finished”

Now when these things were completed, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, according to their abominations, [ergänzt: even] of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites;

And they ended with all the men that had taken foreign wives by the first day of the first month.

וַיְכַלּ֣וּ (יְכַלּ֣וּ) y.kha.Lu “they finished”
