And Abram said: 'O Lord GOD, what wilt Thou give me, seeing I go hence childless, and he that shall be possessor of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?'

יֱהוִה֙ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And he said: 'O Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?'

יֱהוִ֔ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

'O Lord GOD, Thou hast begun to show Thy servant Thy greatness, and Thy strong hand; for what god is there in heaven or on earth, that can do according to Thy works, and according to Thy mighty acts?

יְהוִ֗ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And I prayed unto the LORD, and said: 'O Lord GOD, destroy not Thy people and Thine inheritance, that Thou hast redeemed through Thy greatness, that Thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

יְהוִ֗ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And Joshua said: 'Alas, O Lord GOD, wherefore hast Thou at all brought this people over the Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to cause us to perish? would that we had been content and dwelt beyond the Jordan!

And Gideon saw that he was the angel of the LORD; and Gideon said: 'Alas, O Lord GOD! forasmuch as I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face.'

And Samson called unto the LORD, and said: 'O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray Thee, and strengthen me, I pray Thee, only this once, O God, that I may be this once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.'

יֱהֹוִ֡ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

Then David the king went in, and sat before the LORD; and he said: 'Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that Thou hast brought me thus far?

יְהוִה֙ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And this was yet a small thing in Thine eyes, O Lord GOD; but Thou hast spoken also of Thy servant's house for a great while to come; and this too after the manner of great men, O Lord GOD.

And what can David say more unto Thee? for Thou knowest Thy servant, O Lord GOD.

יְהוִֽה׃ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

Therefore Thou art great, O LORD God; for there is none like Thee, neither is there any God beside Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

יְהוִ֑ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And now, O Lord GOD, Thou alone art God, and Thy words are truth, and Thou hast promised this good thing unto Thy servant;

יְהוִ֗ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

now therefore let it please Thee to bless the house of Thy servant, that it may continue for ever before Thee; for Thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it; and through Thy blessing let the house of Thy servant be blessed for ever.'

יְהוִה֙ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

And unto Abiathar the priest said the king: 'Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art deserving of death; but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou didst bear the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because

יְהֹוִה֙ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

For Thou didst set them apart from among all the peoples of the earth, to be Thine inheritance, as Thou didst speak by the hand of Moses Thy servant, when Thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.'

יְהוִֽה׃ Yah.weh “Yahweh”

God is unto us a God of deliverances; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues of death.

וְלֵיהוִ֥ה (יהוִ֥ה) Yah.weh “Yahweh”

Let not them that wait for Thee be ashamed through me, O Lord GOD of hosts; let not those that seek Thee be brought to confusion through me, O God of Israel.

יְהוִ֗ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

For Thou art my hope; O Lord GOD, my trust from my youth.

יְ֝הוִ֗ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

I will come with Thy mighty acts, O Lord GOD; I will make mention of Thy righteousness, even of Thine only.

יְהוִ֑ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all Thy works.

יְהֹוִ֣ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

But Thou, O GOD the Lord, deal with me for Thy name's sake; because Thy mercy is good, deliver Thou me.

יְה֘וִ֤ה Yah.weh “O Yahweh”

O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, who hast screened my head in the day of battle,

יְהֹוִ֣ה Yah.weh “O Yahweh”

For mine eyes are unto Thee, O GOD the Lord; in Thee have I taken refuge, O pour not out my soul.

יְהֹוִ֣ה Yah.weh “O Yahweh”

What mean ye that ye crush My people, and grind the face of the poor?' saith the Lord, the GOD of hosts.

יְהוִ֖ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”

thus saith the Lord GOD: it shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

יְהוִ֑ה Yah.weh “Yahweh”
