After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a band of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a timbrel, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they will be prophesying:
וְחָלִ֣יל (חָלִ֣יל) cha.Lil “flute”
And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.
בַּחֲלִלִ֔ים (חֲלִלִ֔ים) cha.li.Lim “flutes”
And the harp and the lute, the tabret and the pipe, and wine, are [ergänzt: in] their feasts; but they regard not the work of Jehovah, neither have they considered the operation of his hands.
וְחָלִ֛יל (חָלִ֛יל) cha.Lil “flute”
Ye shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come unto the mountain of Jehovah, to the Rock of Israel.
בֶּֽחָלִ֔יל (חָלִ֔יל) cha.Lil “flute”
Therefore my heart soundeth for Moab like pipes, and my heart soundeth like pipes for the men of Kir-heres: therefore the abundance that he hath gotten is perished.
