But ye shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and ye shall cut down their Asherim.

אֲשֵׁרָ֖יו (אֲשֵׁרָ֖י) 'a.she.Ra “Asherah poles”

But thus shall ye deal with them: ye shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and hew down their Asherim, and burn their graven images with fire.

וַאֲשֵֽׁירֵהֶם֙ (אֲשֵֽׁירֵ) 'a.shei.re. “Asherah poles”

And ye shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods; and ye shall destroy their name out of that place.

וַאֲשֵֽׁרֵיהֶם֙ (אֲשֵֽׁרֵי) 'a.she.rei. “Asherah poles”

Thou shalt not plant thee an Asherah of any kind of tree beside the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.

And the children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgot the LORD their God, and served the Baalim and the Asheroth.

הָאֲשֵׁרֽוֹת׃ (אֲשֵׁרֽוֹת) 'a.she.Rot “Asherah poles”

And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him: 'Take thy father's bullock, and the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the Asherah that is by it;

הָאֲשֵׁרָ֥ה (אֲשֵׁרָ֥ה) 'a.she.Rah “Asherah pole”

and build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this stronghold, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt-offering with the wood of the Asherah which thou shalt cut down.'

הָאֲשֵׁרָ֖ה (אֲשֵׁרָ֖ה) 'a.she.Rah “Asherah pole”

And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was broken down, and the Asherah was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.

וְהָאֲשֵׁרָ֥ה (אֲשֵׁרָ֥ה) 'a.she.Rah “Asherah pole”

Then the men of the city said unto Joash: 'Bring out thy son, that he may die; because he hath broken down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the Asherah that was by it.'

for the LORD will smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and He will root up Israel out of this good land, which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the River; because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD.

For they also built them high places, and pillars, and Asherim, on every high hill, and under every leafy tree;

וַאֲשֵׁרִ֑ים (אֲשֵׁרִ֑ים) 'a.she.Rim “Asherah poles”

And also Maacah his mother he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

And Ahab made the Asherah; and Ahab did yet more to provoke the LORD, the God of Israel, than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the Asherah four hundred, that eat at Jezebel's table.'

Nevertheless they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, wherewith he made Israel to sin, but walked therein; and there remained the Asherah also in Samaria.--

and they set them up pillars and Asherim upon every high hill, and under every leafy tree;

וַאֲשֵׁרִ֑ים (אֲשֵׁרִ֑ים) 'a.she.Rim “Asherah poles”

and they forsook all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made an Asherah, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal;

אֲשֵׁירָ֗ה 'a.shei.Rah “an Asherah pole”

He removed the high places, and broke the pillars, and cut down the Asherah; and he broke in pieces the brazen serpent that Moses had made; for unto those days the children of Israel did offer to it; and it was called Nehushtan.

For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made an Asherah, as did Ahab king of Israel, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

And he set the graven image of Asherah, that he had made, in the house of which the LORD said to David and to Solomon his son: 'In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put My name for ever;

And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the Asherah, and for all the host of heaven; a

וְלָֽאֲשֵׁרָ֔ה (אֲשֵׁרָ֔ה) 'a.she.Rah “Asherah”

And he brought out the Asherah from the house of the LORD, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the common people.

And he broke down the houses of the sodomites, that were in the house of the LORD, where the women wove coverings for the Asherah.

לָאֲשֵׁרָֽה׃ (אֲשֵׁרָֽה) 'a.she.Rah “Asherah”

And he broke in pieces the pillars, and cut down the Asherim, and filled their places with the bones of men.

Moreover the altar that was at Beth-el, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, even that altar and the high place he broke down; and he burned the high place and stamped it small to powder, and burned the As
