Every gorge shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked [ergänzt: places] shall become a straight [ergänzt: path], and the rough places smooth ways,

σκολιὰ skolia “crooked”

And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, Be saved from this perverse generation.

σκολιᾶς skolias “perverse”

that ye may be harmless and simple, irreproachable children of God in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation; among whom ye appear as lights in [ergänzt: the] world,

σκολιᾶς skolias “crooked”

Servants, [ergänzt: be] subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.

σκολιοῖς. skoliois “unreasonable.”
