for as a snare shall it come upon all them that dwell upon the face of the whole earth.

παγίς· pagis “a snare;”

And David says, Let their table be for a snare, and for a gin, and for a fall-trap, and for a recompense to them:

But it is necessary that he should have also a good testimony from those without, that he may fall not into reproach and [ergänzt: the] snare of the devil.
