And, when we were all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [ergänzt: it is] hard for thee to kick against goads.

Where, O death, [ergänzt: is] thy sting? where, O death, thy victory?

Now the sting of death [ergänzt: is] sin, and the power of sin the law;

and they have tails like scorpions, and stings; and their power [ergänzt: was] in their tails to hurt men five months.
