But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings, and the children of Israel:

ἐκλογῆς eklogēs “of choice”

for [ergänzt: the children] being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth,

ἐκλογὴν eklogēn “election”

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

ἐκλογὴν eklogēn “[the] election”

What then? that which Israel seeketh for, that he obtained not; but the election obtained it, and the rest were hardened:

ἐκλογὴ eklogē “the elect”

As touching the gospel, they are enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sake.

ἐκλογὴν eklogēn “election”

knowing, brethren beloved of God, your election,

ἐκλογὴν eklogēn “election”

Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never stumble:
