G0285–ἄμμος–ammos

And every one who hears these my words and does not do them, he shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand;

ἄμμον. ammon “sand.”

But Esaias cries concerning Israel, Should the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant shall be saved:

Wherefore also there have been born of one, and that of one become dead, even as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the countless sand which [ergänzt: is] by the sea shore.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea; and I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon its horns ten diadems, and upon its heads names of blasphemy.
