H3423G–יָרַשׁ–ya.rash

Thy holy people possessed [supplied: it] but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.

יָרְשׁ֖וּ ya.re.Shu “they possessed”

And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains; and my chosen shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

יוֹרֵ֣שׁ yo.Resh “[the] possessor of”

Of the children of Ammon. Thus saith Jehovah: Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth Malcam possess Gad, and his people well in the cities thereof?

יוֹרֵ֖שׁ yo.Resh “[does] an heir”

Son of man, they that inhabit those waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.

וַיִּירַ֖שׁ (יִּירַ֖שׁ) i.yi.Rash “he possessed”

Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes unto your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?

תִּירָֽשׁוּ׃ ti.Ra.shu “will you possess?”

Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbor's wife: and shall ye possess the land?

that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations that are called by my name, saith Jehovah that doeth this.
