Then the channels of the sea appeared, The foundations of the world were laid bare, By the rebuke of Jehovah, At the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, As the channel of brooks that pass away;

כַּאֲפִ֖יק (אֲפִ֖יק) 'a.Fik “a stream-bed of”

He poureth contempt upon princes, And looseth the belt of the strong.

אֲפִיקִ֣ים 'a.fi.Kim “strong people”

His bones are [supplied: as] tubes of brass; His limbs are like bars of iron.

אֲפִיקֵ֣י 'a.fi.Kei “[are] tubes of”

[supplied: His] strong scales are [supplied: his] pride, Shut up together [supplied: as with] a close seal.

Then the channels of waters appeared, And the foundations of the world were laid bare, At thy rebuke, O Jehovah, At the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God.

אֲפִֽיקֵי־ 'a.fi.kei- “channels of”

Turn again our captivity, O Jehovah, As the streams in the South.

כַּאֲפִיקִ֥ים (אֲפִיקִ֥ים) 'a.fi.Kim “stream-beds”

His eyes are like doves beside the water-brooks, Washed with milk, [supplied: and] fitly set.

אֲפִ֣יקֵי 'a.Fi.kei “channels of”

now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the River, strong and many, [supplied: even] the king of Assyria and all his glory: and it shall come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks;

אֲפִיקָ֔יו (אֲפִיקָ֔י) 'a.fi.Ka “channels”

and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the watercourses of the land; and all the peoples of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.

I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the watercourses shall be full of thee.

וַאֲפִקִ֖ים (אֲפִקִ֖ים) 'a.fi.Kim “ravines”

And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country.

And I will fill its mountains with its slain: in thy hills and in thy valleys and in all thy watercourses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

אֲפִיקֶ֔יךָ (אֲפִיקֶ֔י) 'a.fi.Kei. “ravines”

therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes and to the cities that are forsaken, which are become a prey and derision to the residue of the nations that are round about;

Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my wrath, because ye have borne the shame of the nations:

לָאֲפִיקִ֨ים (אֲפִיקִ֨ים) 'a.fi.Kim “ravines”

Yea, the beasts of the field pant unto thee; for the water brooks are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

אֲפִ֣יקֵי 'a.Fi.kei “[the] channels of”

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall flow with waters; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of Jehovah, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
