Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith Jehovah, whose name is the God of hosts.

אֶתְכֶ֖ם (כֶ֖ם) Khem “you”

For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entrance of Hamath unto the brook of the Arabah.

עֲלֵיכֶ֜ם (כֶ֜ם) Khem “you”אֶתְכֶ֛ם (כֶ֛ם) Khem “you”

And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

מֵֽעֲלֵיכֶ֑ם (כֶ֑ם) Khem “you”עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ (כֶֽם) Khem “you”

Hear, ye peoples, all of you: hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord Jehovah be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

בָּכֶם֙ (כֶם֙) Khem “you”

Pass away, O inhabitant of Shaphir, in nakedness and shame: the inhabitant of Zaanan is not come forth; the wailing of Beth-ezel shall take from you the stay thereof.

לָכֶ֛ם (כֶ֛ם) Khem “yourselves”מִכֶּ֖ם (כֶּ֖ם) Kem “you”

In that day shall they take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, [ergänzt: and] say, We are utterly ruined: he changeth the portion of my people: how doth he remove [ergänzt: it] from me! to the rebellious he divideth our fields.

עֲלֵיכֶ֣ם (כֶ֣ם) Khem “you”

And I said, Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: is it not for you to know justice?

לָכֶ֔ם (כֶ֔ם) Khem “you”

Therefore it shall be night unto you, that ye shall have no vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.

Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.

בִּגְלַלְכֶ֔ם (כֶ֔ם) Khem “you”

before the decree bring forth, [ergänzt: before] the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of Jehovah come upon you, before the day of Jehovah's anger come upon you.

עֲלֵיכֶ֗ם (כֶ֗ם) Khem “you”עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם (כֶ֔ם) Khem “you”

Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea-coast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of Jehovah is against you, O Canaan, the land of the Philistines; I will destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

עֲלֵיכֶ֗ם (כֶ֗ם) Khem “you”

At that time will I bring you in, and at that time will I gather you; for I will make you a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I bring back your captivity before your eyes, saith Jehovah.

Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your ceiled houses, while this house lieth waste?

לָכֶם֙ (כֶם֙) Khem “you”

Therefore for your sake the heavens withhold the dew, and the earth withholdeth its fruit.

עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם (כֶ֔ם) Khem “you”

Then spake Haggai Jehovah's messenger in Jehovah's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith Jehovah.

אִתְּכֶ֖ם (כֶ֖ם) Khem “you”

Who is left among you that saw this house in its former glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes as nothing?

בָכֶם֙ (כֶם֙) Khem “you”

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith Jehovah; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith Jehovah, and work: for I am with you, saith Jehovah of hosts,

אִתְּכֶ֔ם (כֶ֔ם) Khem “you”

[ergänzt: according to] the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, and my Spirit abode among you: fear ye not.

אִתְּכֶם֙ (כֶם֙) Khem “you”

I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the work of your hands; yet ye [ergänzt: turned] not to me, saith Jehovah.

אֶתְכֶ֜ם (כֶ֜ם) Khem “you”אֶתְכֶ֥ם (כֶ֥ם) Khem “you”

Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Return unto me, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will return unto you, saith Jehovah of hosts.

אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם (כֶ֔ם) Khem “you”

Ho, ho, flee from the land of the north, saith Jehovah; for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, saith Jehovah.

אֶתְכֶ֖ם (כֶ֖ם) Khem “you”

For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: After glory hath he sent me unto the nations which plundered you; for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

אֶתְכֶ֑ם (כֶ֑ם) Khem “you”בָּכֶ֔ם (כֶ֔ם) Khem “you”

The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you.

אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ (כֶֽם) Khem “you”

And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of Jehovah; and ye shall know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you. And [ergänzt: this] shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of Jehovah your God.

אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם (כֶ֑ם) Khem “you”

And it shall come to pass that, as ye were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing. Fear not, [ergänzt: but] let your hands be strong.
