And it shall be said in that day, Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is Jehovah, we have waited for him; we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

וְיֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation doth he appoint for walls and bulwarks.

לָ֔נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for thou also hast wrought all our works for us.

לָ֑נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”לָּֽנוּ׃ (נוּ) nu “us”

Jehovah our God, other lords than thee have had dominion over us; by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

בְּעָל֥וּנוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

For ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol have we made an agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us; for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves.

יְבוֹאֵ֔נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

Woe unto them that hide deep, far from Jehovah, their counsel! And their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

who say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things; speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits;

until the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness become a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

עָלֵ֛ינוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

Jehovah, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be their arm every morning, yea, our salvation in the time of trouble.

חָנֵּ֖נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling hath surprised the hypocrites: Who among us shall dwell with the consuming fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting flames?

לָ֗נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”לָ֖נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

but there Jehovah is unto us glorious, -- a place of rivers, of broad streams: no galley with oars shall go there, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

For Jehovah is our judge, Jehovah, our lawgiver, Jehovah, our king: he will save us.

שֹׁפְטֵ֔נוּ (נוּ) nu “our”מְחֹקְקֵ֑נוּ (נוּ) nu “our”יוֹשִׁיעֵֽנוּ׃ (נוּ) nu “us”

And Eliakim and Shebna and Joah said to Rab-shakeh, Speak, we pray thee, to thy servants in Syriac, for we understand it; and speak not to us in the Jewish [ergänzt: language] in the ears of the people that are upon the wall.

Neither let Hezekiah make you rely upon Jehovah, saying, Jehovah will certainly deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Let not Hezekiah persuade you, saying, Jehovah will deliver us. Has any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

And now, Jehovah our God, save us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art Jehovah, thou only.

הוֹשִׁיעֵ֖נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

Let them bring them forward, and declare to us what shall happen: shew the former things, what they are, that we may give attention to them, and know the end of them; -- or let us hear things to come:

לָ֔נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”הַשְׁמִיעֻֽנוּ׃ (נוּ) nu “us”

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them declareth this, or causeth us to hear former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, [ergänzt: It is] truth.

יַשְׁמִיעֻ֑נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.

לָֽנוּ׃ (נוּ) nu “us”

Therefore is justice far from us, and righteousness overtaketh us not: we wait for light, and behold darkness; for brightness, [ergänzt: but] we walk in obscurity.

מִמֶּ֔נּוּ (נּוּ) nu “us”תַשִּׂיגֵ֖נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

We roar all like bears, and mourn grievously like doves: we look for judgment, and there is none; for salvation, [ergänzt: but] it is far from us.

מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ (נּוּ) nu “us”

For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us; and our iniquities, we know them:

בָּ֑נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”אִתָּ֔נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

I will record the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah, the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed upon us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel which he hath bestowed upon them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving-kindnesses.

גְּמָלָ֖נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

For thou art our Father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, Jehovah, art our Father; our Redeemer, from everlasting, is thy name.

יְדָעָ֔נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”יַכִּירָ֑נוּ (נוּ) nu “us”

Why, O Jehovah, hast thou made us to err from thy ways, hast hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
