The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I saw until the wings of it were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made to stand on two feet as a man; and a man's heart was given to it.

לַ֑הּ (הּ) h “it”לַֽהּ׃ (הּ) h “it”

Behold, another animal, a second, like a bear; and it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth: and they said thus to it, Arise, devour much flesh.

לַ֔הּ (הּ) h “it”

After this I saw, and, behold, another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird; the animal had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

וְלַ֨הּ (הּ) h “it”לַֽהּ׃ (הּ) h “it”

After this I saw in the night-visions, and, behold, a fourth animal, awesome and powerful, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet: and it was diverse from all the animals that were before it; and it had ten horns.

לַהּ֙ (הּ֙) h “it”קָֽדָמַ֔יהּ (הּ) h “it”לַֽהּ׃ (הּ) h “it”

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.

קֳדָמַ֑הּ (הּ) h “it”

and concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other [ergänzt: horn] which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke great things, whose look was more stout than its fellows.

קֳדָמַ֖הּ (הּ) h “it”לַ֗הּ (הּ) h “it”

Thus he said, The fourth animal shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be diverse from all the kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

וּתְדוּשִׁנַּ֖הּ (הּ) h “it”וְתַדְּקִנַּֽהּ׃ (הּ) h “it”

As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom shall ten kings arise: and another shall arise after them; and he shall be diverse from the former, and he shall put down three kings.

מִנַּהּ֙ (הּ֙) Nah “it”

The male goat magnified himself exceedingly: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four notable [ergänzt: horns] toward the four winds of the sky.

תַּחְתֶּ֔יהָ (הָ) ha “its”

As for that which was broken, in the place where four stood up, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.

תַּחְתֶּ֑יהָ (הָ) ha “its”

Therefore has Yahweh watched over the evil, and brought it on us; for Yahweh our God is righteous in all his works which he does, and we have not obeyed his voice.

וַיְבִיאֶ֖הָ (הָ) ha “it”

My God, turn your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and see our desolations, and the city which is called by your name: for we do not present our petitions before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies' sake.

עָלֶ֑יהָ (הָ) ha “it”

At the end of years they shall join themselves together; and the daughter of the king of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the strength of her arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm; but she shall be given up, and those who brought her, and he who became the father of her, and he who strengthened her in those times.

וּמְבִיאֶ֙יהָ֙ (הָ֙) ha “her”וְהַיֹּ֣לְדָ֔הּ (הּ) h “her”וּמַחֲזִקָ֖הּ (הּ) h “her”

He shall set his face to come with the strength of his whole kingdom, and with him equitable conditions; and he shall perform them: and he shall give him the daughter of women, to corrupt her; but she shall not stand, neither be for him.

לְהַשְׁחִיתָ֔הּ (הּ) h “it”

Lest I strip her naked, And make her bare as in the day that she was born, And make her like a wilderness, And set her like a dry land, And kill her with thirst.

אַפְשִׁיטֶ֣נָּה (נָּה) nah “her”וְהִ֨צַּגְתִּ֔יהָ (הָ) ha “her”וְשַׂמְתִּ֣יהָ (הָ) ha “her”וְשַׁתִּ֙הָ֙ (הָ֙) ha “her”וַהֲמִתִּ֖יהָ (הָ) ha “her”

She will follow after her lovers, But she won't overtake them; And she will seek them, But won't find them. Then she will say, 'I will go and return to my first husband; For then was it better with me than now.'

מְאַהֲבֶ֙יהָ֙ (הָ֙) ha “her”

For she did not know that I gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil, And multiplied to her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.

לָ֔הּ (הּ) h “her”לָ֛הּ (הּ) h “her”

Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, And no one will deliver her out of my hand.

מְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָ (הָ) ha “her”יַצִּילֶ֥נָּה (נָּה) nah “her”

I will visit on her the days of the Baals, To which she burned incense, When she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, And went after her lovers, And forgot me," says Yahweh.

עָלֶ֗יהָ (הָ) ha “her”מְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָ (הָ) ha “her”

"Therefore, behold, I will allure her, And bring her into the wilderness, And speak tenderly to her.

מְפַתֶּ֔יהָ (הָ) ha “her”וְהֹֽלַכְתִּ֖יהָ (הָ) ha “her”

I will give her vineyards from there, And the valley of Achor for a door of hope; And she will respond there, As in the days of her youth, And as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

לָ֤הּ (הּ) h “her”

I will sow her to me in the earth; And I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; And I will tell those who were not my people, 'You are my people;' And they will say, 'My God!'"

וּזְרַעְתִּ֤יהָ (הָ) ha “her”

So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer and a half of barley.

וָאֶכְּרֶ֣הָ (הָ) ha “her”

I said to her, "You shall stay with me many days. You shall not play the prostitute, and you shall not be with any other man. I will also be so toward you."

אֵלֶ֗יהָ (הָ) ha “her”

Therefore the land will mourn, And everyone who dwells therein will waste away. All living things in her, Even the animals of the field and the birds of the sky; Yes, the fish of the sea also die.
