Thus saith Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, [ergänzt: and] his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Jehovah that is faithful, [ergänzt: even] the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.

וַיִּבְחָרֶֽךָּ׃ (ךָּ) ka “you”

Thus saith Jehovah, In an acceptable time have I answered thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages:

עֲנִיתִ֔יךָ (ךָ) kha “you”עֲזַרְתִּ֑יךָ (ךָ) kha “you”וְאֶצָּרְךָ֗ (ךָ֗) Kha “you”וְאֶתֶּנְךָ֙ (ךָ֙) Kha “you”

and hast forgotten Jehovah thy Maker, that stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fearest continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he maketh ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?

עֹשֶׂ֗ךָ (ךָ) kha “you”

And I have put my words in thy mouth, and have covered thee in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

כִּסִּיתִ֑יךָ (ךָ) kha “you”

Like as many were astonished at thee (his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men),

עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ (ךָ֙) kha “you”

Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not; and a nation that knew not thee shall run unto thee, because of Jehovah thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

יְדָע֖וּךָ (ךָ) kha “you”אֵלֶ֣יךָ (ךָ) kha “you”פֵאֲרָֽךְ׃ (ךְ) kh “you”

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thy healing shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of Jehovah shall by thy rearward.

יַאַסְפֶֽךָ׃ (ךָ) kha “your”

and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

וְנָחֲךָ֣ (ךָ֣) Kha “you”

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places; thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

מִמְּךָ֙ (ךָ֙) Kha “you”לְךָ֙ (ךָ֙) Kha “you”

then shalt thou delight thyself in Jehovah; and I will make thee to ride upon the high places of the earth; and I will feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken it.

וְהִרְכַּבְתִּ֖יךָ (ךָ) kha “you”וְהַאֲכַלְתִּ֗יךָ (ךָ) kha “you”

For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:

נֶגְדֶּ֔ךָ (ךָ) kha “you”

And as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith Jehovah: my Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith Jehovah, from henceforth and for ever.

עָלֶ֔יךָ (ךָ) kha “you”

Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Jehovah thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

פֵאֲרָֽךְ׃ (ךְ) kh “you”

As the cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of Jehovah caused them to rest; so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.

לְךָ֖ (ךָ֖) Kha “yourself”

For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen a God besides thee, who worketh for him that waiteth for him.

זוּלָ֣תְךָ֔ (ךָ֔) kha “you”

Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou wast wroth, and we sinned: in them [ergänzt: have we been] of long time; and shall we be saved?

יִזְכְּר֑וּךָ (ךָ) kha “you”

And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee; for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us by means of our iniquities.

בָּ֑ךְ (ךְ) kh “you”

Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned with fire; and all our pleasant places are laid waste.

הִֽלְל֙וּךָ֙ (ךָ֙) kha “you”

that say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me, for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

אֵלֶ֔יךָ (ךָ) kha “yourself”קְדַשְׁתִּ֑יךָ (ךָ) cha “you”

And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen; and the Lord Jehovah will slay thee; and he will call his servants by another name:

וֶהֱמִיתְךָ֖ (ךָ֖) Kha “you”

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations.

אֶצָּרְךָ֤ (ךָ֤) kha “you”יְדַעְתִּ֔יךָ (ךָ) kha “you”הִקְדַּשְׁתִּ֑יךָ (ךָ) cha “you”נְתַתִּֽיךָ׃ (ךָ) kha “you”

But Jehovah said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for to whomsoever I shall send thee thou shalt go, and whatsoever I shall command thee thou shalt speak.

אֶֽשְׁלָחֲךָ֙ (ךָ֙) Kha “you”אֲצַוְּךָ֖ (ךָ֖) Kha “you”

Be not afraid because of them; for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith Jehovah.

אִתְּךָ֥ (ךָ֥) Kha “you”לְהַצִּלֶ֖ךָ (ךָ) kha “you”

see, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.

הִפְקַדְתִּ֣יךָ׀ (ךָ) cha “you”

Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at them, lest I dismay thee before them.

אֲצַוֶּ֑ךָּ (ךָּ) ka “you”אֲחִתְּךָ֖ (ךָ֖) Kha “you”
