And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, that are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, and have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are upon their bones; for [ergänzt: they were] the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

מִלְחַמְתָּם֩ (ם֩) m “their”חַרְבוֹתָ֜ם (ם) m “their”רָאשֵׁיהֶ֗ם (הֶ֗ם) Hem “their”עֲוֹֽנֹתָם֙ (ם֙) m “their”עַצְמוֹתָ֔ם (ם) m “their”

There is Edom, her kings and all her princes, who in their might are laid with them that are slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.

בִגְבוּרָתָ֖ם (ם) m “their”

There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who are gone down with the slain; in the terror which they caused by their might they are put to shame; and they lie uncircumcised with them that are slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.

כֻּלָּ֖ם (ם) m “them”בְּחִתִּיתָ֤ם (ם) m “their”מִגְבֽוּרָתָם֙ (ם֙) m “their”כְלִמָּתָ֖ם (ם) m “their”

Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and set him for their watchman;

מִקְצֵיהֶ֔ם (הֶ֔ם) Hem “their”

Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.

דַּרְכָּ֥ם (ם) m “their”

Then shall they know that I am Jehovah, when I have made the land a desolation and an astonishment, because of all their abominations which they have committed.

תּוֹעֲבֹתָ֖ם (ם) m “their”

And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but do them not; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goeth after their gain.

בְּפִיהֶם֙ (הֶם֙) Hem “their”בִצְעָ֖ם (ם) m “their”לִבָּ֥ם (ם) m “their”

And when this cometh to pass, (behold, it cometh,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.

בְתוֹכָֽם׃ (ם) m “them”

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my sheep at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the sheep; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; and I will deliver my sheep from their mouth, that they may not be food for them.

מִיָּדָ֗ם (ם) m “their”מִפִּיהֶ֔ם (הֶ֔ם) Hem “their”

And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country.

אַדְמָתָ֑ם (ם) m “their”

I will feed them with good pasture; and upon the mountains of the height of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold; and on fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.

נְוֵהֶ֑ם (הֶ֑ם) Hem “their”

And I, Jehovah, will be their God, and my servant David prince among them; I, Jehovah, have spoken it.

בְתוֹכָ֑ם (ם) m “them”

And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase, and they shall be secure in their land; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them out of the hand of those that made bondmen of them.

אַדְמָתָ֖ם (ם) m “their”עֻלָּ֔ם (ם) m “their”

And they shall know that I, Jehovah, their God am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord Jehovah.

אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם (הֶ֖ם) Hem “their”

Because thou hast had a perpetual enmity, and hast given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;

אֵידָ֔ם (ם) m “their”

therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I have sworn, [ergänzt: saying], Surely the nations that are round about you, they shall bear their shame.

כְּלִמָּתָ֥ם (ם) m “their”

Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their way and by their doings: their way before me was as the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity.

אַדְמָתָ֔ם (ם) m “their”בְּדַרְכָּ֖ם (ם) m “their”וּבַעֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑ם (ם) m “their”דַרְכָּ֖ם (ם) m “their”

Wherefore I poured out my wrath upon them for the blood which they had poured out upon the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols;

וּבְגִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ם (הֶ֖ם) Hem “their”

and I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

כְּדַרְכָּ֥ם (ם) m “their”וְכַעֲלִילוֹתָ֖ם (ם) m “their”

And I will sanctify my great name, which hath been profaned among the nations, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am Jehovah, saith the Lord Jehovah, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

בְּתוֹכָ֑ם (ם) m “them”לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃ (הֶֽם) Hem “their”

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

רַגְלֵיהֶ֔ם (הֶ֔ם) Hem “their”

And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thy hand before their eyes.

לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃ (הֶֽם) Hem “their”

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, whither they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

אַדְמָתָֽם׃ (ם) m “their”

and I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all;

לְכֻלָּ֖ם (ם) m “them”

neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling-places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
