Their visage is darker than blackness, they are not known in the streets; their skin cleaveth to their bones, it is withered, it is become like a stick.

תָּֽאֳרָ֔ם (ם) m “their”עוֹרָם֙ (ם֙) m “their”עַצְמָ֔ם (ם) m “their”

They wandered about blind in the streets; they were polluted with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

בִּלְבֻשֵׁיהֶֽם׃ (הֶֽם) Hem “their”

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Jehovah, was taken in their pits; of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the nations.

בִּשְׁחִיתוֹתָ֑ם (ם) m “their”

Our fathers have sinned, [ergänzt: and] they are not; and we bear their iniquities.

עֲוֹנֹתֵיהֶ֥ם (הֶ֥ם) Hem “their”

Bondmen rule over us: there is no deliverer out of their hand.

מִיָּדָֽם׃ (ם) m “their”

Princes were hanged up by their hand; the faces of elders were not honoured.

בְּיָדָ֣ם (ם) m “their”

The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their music.

מִנְּגִינָתָֽם׃ (ם) m “their”

And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled as the look of burnished brass.

וְרַגְלֵיהֶ֖ם (הֶ֖ם) Hem “their”רַגְלֵיהֶ֗ם (הֶ֗ם) Hem “their”

And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings:

כַּנְפֵיהֶ֔ם (הֶ֔ם) Hem “their”רִבְעֵיהֶ֑ם (הֶ֑ם) Hem “their”וּפְנֵיהֶ֥ם (הֶ֥ם) Hem “their”וְכַנְפֵיהֶ֖ם (הֶ֖ם) Hem “their”לְאַרְבַּעְתָּֽם׃ (ם) m “them”

their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

כַּנְפֵיהֶ֑ם (הֶ֑ם) Hem “their”

And the likeness of their faces was the face of a man; and they four had the face of a lion on the right side; and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four had also the face of an eagle.

פְּנֵיהֶם֮ (הֶם֮) Hem “their”לְאַרְבַּעְתָּ֔ם (ם) m “them”

And their faces and their wings were parted above; two [ergänzt: wings] of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

וּפְנֵיהֶ֕ם (הֶ֕ם) Hem “their”וְכַנְפֵיהֶ֥ם (הֶ֥ם) Hem “their”

And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, as the appearance of torches: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright; and out of the fire went forth lightning.

מַרְאֵיהֶ֣ם (הֶ֣ם) Hem “their”

The appearance of the wheels and their work was as the look of a chrysolite; and they four had one likeness; and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

וּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶם֙ (הֶם֙) Hem “their”וּמַרְאֵיהֶם֙ (הֶם֙) Hem “their”וּמַ֣עֲשֵׂיהֶ֔ם (הֶ֔ם) Hem “their”

As for their rims, they were high and dreadful; and they four had their rims full of eyes round about.

וְגַבֹּתָ֗ם (ם) m “their”

And there was the likeness of an expanse over the heads of the living creature, as the look of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

רָאשֵׁיהֶ֖ם (הֶ֖ם) Hem “their”

And under the expanse were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two which covered on this side, and every one had two which covered on that side their bodies.

כַּנְפֵיהֶ֣ם (הֶ֣ם) Hem “their”גְּוִיֹּתֵיהֶֽם׃ (הֶֽם) Hem “their”

And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, a tumultuous noise, as the noise of a host: when they stood, they let down their wings;

כַּנְפֵיהֶ֡ם (הֶ֡ם) Hem “their”

and there was a voice from above the expanse that was over their heads. When they stood, they let down their wings.

רֹאשָׁ֑ם (ם) m “their”

And above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and upon the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

רֹאשָׁ֔ם (ם) m “their”

And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to nations that are rebellious, which have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me unto this very day;

וַאֲבוֹתָם֙ (ם֙) m “their”

And they, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear -- for they are a rebellious house -- yet shall they know that there hath been a prophet among them.

בְתוֹכָֽם׃ (ם) m “them”

And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, and be not afraid of their words; for briars and thorns are with thee, and thou dwellest among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, and be not dismayed at their faces; for they are a rebellious house.

וּמִדִּבְרֵיהֶ֣ם (הֶ֣ם) Hem “their”מִדִּבְרֵיהֶ֤ם (הֶ֤ם) Hem “their”וּמִפְּנֵיהֶ֣ם (הֶ֣ם) Hem “their”

not to many peoples of strange language and of difficult speech, whose words thou canst not understand: had I sent thee to them, would they not hearken unto thee?

דִּבְרֵיהֶ֑ם (הֶ֑ם) Hem “their”

Behold, I have made thy face hard against their faces, and thy forehead hard against their foreheads.

פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם (הֶ֑ם) Hem “their”מִצְחָֽם׃ (ם) m “their”
