The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, And the earth shall rise up against him.

עֲוֹנ֑וֹ (וֹ) o “his”

The increase of his house shall depart; [ergänzt: His goods] shall flow away in the day of his wrath.

בֵּית֑וֹ (וֹ) o “his”אַפּֽוֹ׃ (וֹ) o “his”

This is the portion of a wicked man from God, And the heritage appointed unto him by God.

אִמְר֣וֹ (וֹ) o “his”

Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; Their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.

שׁוֹר֣וֹ (וֹ) o “his”פָּ֝רָת֗וֹ (וֹ) o “his”

How oft is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out? That their calamity cometh upon them? That [ergänzt: God] distributeth sorrows in his anger?

בְּאַפּֽוֹ׃ (וֹ) o “his”

[ergänzt: Ye say], God layeth up his iniquity for his children. Let him recompense it unto himself, that he may know it:

לְבָנָ֥יו (ו) v “his”אוֹנ֑וֹ (וֹ) o “his”

Let his own eyes see his destruction, And let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

עֵינָ֣יו (ו) v “his”כִּיד֑וֹ (וֹ) o “his”

For what careth he for his house after him, When the number of his months is cut off?

חֶפְצ֣וֹ (וֹ) o “his”בְּבֵית֣וֹ (וֹ) o “his”חֳדָשָׁ֣יו (ו) v “his”

One dieth in his full strength, Being wholly at ease and quiet:

תֻּמּ֑וֹ (וֹ) o “his”כֻּ֝לּ֗וֹ (וֹ) o “him”

His pails are full of milk, And the marrow of his bones is moistened.

עֲ֭טִינָיו (ו) v “his”עַצְמוֹתָ֣יו (ו) v “his”

Who shall declare his way to his face? And who shall repay him what he hath done?

פָּנָ֣יו (ו) v “his”דַּרְכּ֑וֹ (וֹ) o “his”

The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, And all men shall draw after him, As there were innumerable before him.

וּ֝לְפָנָ֗יו (ו) v “him”

Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, And lay up his words in thy heart.

מִפִּ֣יו (ו) v “his”אֲ֝מָרָ֗יו (ו) v “his”

Oh that I knew where I might find him! That I might come even to his seat!

תְּכוּנָתֽוֹ׃ (וֹ) o “his”

I would set my cause in order before him, And fill my mouth with arguments.

לְפָנָ֣יו (ו) v “him”

My foot hath held fast to his steps; His way have I kept, and turned not aside.

בַּ֭אֲשֻׁרוֹ (וֹ) o “his”דַּרְכּ֖וֹ (וֹ) o “his”

I have not gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

שְׂ֭פָתָיו (ו) v “his”פִֽיו׃ (ו) v “his”

But he is in one [ergänzt: mind], and who can turn him? And what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.

וְנַפְשׁ֖וֹ (וֹ) o “his”

Therefore am I terrified at his presence; When I consider, I am afraid of him.

מִפָּנָ֣יו (ו) v “him”

Why are times not laid up by the Almighty? And why do not they that know him see his days?

יָמָֽיו׃ (ו) v “his”

They cut their provender in the field; And they glean the vintage of the wicked.

בְּלִיל֣וֹ (וֹ) o “its”

These are of them that rebel against the light; They know not the ways thereof, Nor abide in the paths thereof.

דְרָכָ֑יו (ו) v “its”בִּנְתִיבֹתָֽיו׃ (ו) v “its”

Yet [ergänzt: God] preserveth the mighty by his power: He riseth up that hath no assurance of life.

בְּכֹח֑וֹ (וֹ) o “his”

[ergänzt: God] giveth them to be in security, and they rest thereon; And his eyes are upon their ways.

וְ֝עֵינֵ֗יהוּ (הוּ) hu “his”

Dominion and fear are with him; He maketh peace in his high places.
