Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; save me in thy loving-kindness.

הָאִ֣ירָה (ה) h “!”

Strive, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me; fight against them that fight against me:

רִיבָ֣ה (ה) h “!”

Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help;

וְ֝ק֗וּמָה (ה) h “!”

Lord, how long wilt thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my only one from the young lions.

הָשִׁ֣יבָה (ה) h “!”

Stir up thyself, and awake for my right, for my cause, my God and Lord!

הָעִ֣ירָה (ה) h “!”וְ֭הָקִיצָה (ה) h “!”

Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.

ח֥וּשָׁה (ה) h “!”

Hear my prayer, Jehovah, and give ear unto my cry; be not silent at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, a sojourner, like all my fathers.

שִֽׁמְעָ֥ה־ (ה) h- “!”הַאֲזִינָה֮ (ה֮) h “!”

Be pleased, O Jehovah, to deliver me; Jehovah, make haste to my help.

חֽוּשָׁה׃ (ה) h “!”

As for me, I said, Jehovah, be gracious unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

רְפָאָ֥ה (ה) h “!”

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; deliver me from the deceitful and unrighteous man.

וְרִ֘יבָ֤ה (ה) h “!”

Awake, why sleepest thou, Lord? arise, cast [ergänzt: us] not off for ever.

ע֤וּרָה׀ (ה) h “!”הָ֝קִ֗יצָה (ה) h “!”

Rise up for our help, and redeem us for thy loving-kindness' sake.

ק֭וּמָֽה (ה) h “!”

Hear, my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify unto thee: I am God, thy God.

שִׁמְעָ֤ה (ה) h “!”

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and let a willing spirit sustain me.

הָשִׁ֣יבָה (ה) h “!”

Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem.

הֵיטִ֣יבָה (ה) h “!”

O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth.

הַ֝אֲזִ֗ינָה (ה) h “!”

Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.

הַאֲזִ֣ינָה (ה) h “!”

Attend unto me, and answer me: I wander about in my plaint, and I moan aloud,

הַקְשִׁ֣יבָה (ה) h “!”

*Thou* countest my wanderings; put my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

שִׂ֣ימָה (ה) h “!”

Be exalted above the heavens, O God; let thy glory be above all the earth!

ר֣וּמָה (ה) h “!”

Awake, my glory; awake, lute and harp: I will wake the dawn.

ע֤וּרָה (ה) h “!”ע֭וּרָֽה (ה) h “!”

Be exalted above the heavens, O God; let thy glory be above all the earth!

ר֣וּמָה (ה) h “!”

They run and prepare themselves without [ergänzt: my] fault: awake to meet me, and behold.

ע֖וּרָה (ה) h “!”

Yea, do thou, Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel, arise to visit all the nations: be not gracious to any plotters of iniquity. Selah.

הָקִ֗יצָה (ה) h “!”

Thou hast made the earth to tremble, thou hast rent it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.
