When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;

הַגּוֹיִ֗ם (הַ) ha. “the”

Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they are destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

הַגּוֹיִ֤ם (הַ) ha. “the”הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ (הָ) ha. “<the>”

Whatever thing I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add to it, nor diminish from it.

הַדָּבָ֗ר (הַ) ha. “<the>”

And the sign or the wonder shall come to pass, of which he spoke to thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

הָאוֹת֙ (הָ) ha. “the”וְהַמּוֹפֵ֔ת (הַ) ha. “the”

Thou shalt not hearken to the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

הַנָּבִ֣יא (הַ) ha. “the”הַה֔וּא (הַ) ha. “<the>”הַחֲל֖וֹם (הַ) ha. “the”הַה֑וּא (הַ) ha. “<the>”

And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou remove the evil from the midst of thee.

Namely, of the gods of the people who are around you, nigh to thee, or far off from thee, from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth;

הָֽעַמִּ֗ים (הָֽ) ha. “the”הַקְּרֹבִ֣ים (הַ) ha. “<the>”הָרְחֹקִ֣ים (הָ) ha. “<the>”הָאָ֖רֶץ (הָ) ha. “the”הָאָֽרֶץ׃ (הָ) ha. “the”

But thou shalt surely kill him; thy hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

הָעָ֖ם (הָ) ha. “the”

And thou shalt stone him with stones that he shall die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt from the house of bondage.

הַמּוֹצִיאֲךָ֛ (הַ) ha. “who”

And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is, among you.

הָרָ֛ע (הָ) ha. “<the>”הַזֶּ֖ה (הַ) ha. “<the>”

Then shalt thou inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and behold, if it is truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;

הַדָּבָ֔ר (הַ) ha. “the”הַתּוֹעֵבָ֥ה (הַ) ha. “the”הַזֹּ֖את (הַ) ha. “<the>”

Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is in it, and its cattle, with the edge of the sword.

הָעִ֥יר (הָ) ha. “the”הַהִ֖יא (הַ) ha. “<the>”

And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of its street, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil of it every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be a heap forever; it shalt not be built again.

הָעִ֤יר (הָ) ha. “the”

And there shall cleave naught of the cursed thing to thy hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn to thy fathers;

הַחֵ֑רֶם (הַ) ha. “the”

When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.

הַיּ֑וֹם (הַ) hai. “this”הַיָּשָׁ֔ר (הַ) hai. “the”

For thou art a holy people to the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people to himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

הָֽעַמִּ֔ים (הָֽ) ha. “the”הָאֲדָמָֽה׃ (הָ) ha. “the”

These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה (הַ) ha. “[is] the”

Nevertheless, these ye shall not eat, of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean to you.

הַגֵּרָ֔ה (הַ) ha. “<of> the”הַפַּרְסָ֖ה (הַ) ha. “<of> the”הַשְּׁסוּעָ֑ה (הַ) ha. “<the>”הַ֠גָּמָל (הַ֠) Ha. “the”הָאַרְנֶ֨בֶת (הָ) ha. “the”הַשָּׁפָ֜ן (הַ) ha. “the”

And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, is unclean to you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.

הַ֠חֲזִיר (הַ֠) Ha. “the”

But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

הַנֶּ֥שֶׁר (הַ) ha. “the”וְהַפֶּ֖רֶס (הַ) ha. “the”וְהָֽעָזְנִיָּֽה׃ (הָֽ) Ha. “the”

And the glede, and the kite, and the vultur after his kind,

וְהָרָאָה֙ (הָ) ha. “the”הָ֣אַיָּ֔ה (הָ֣) ha. “the”וְהַדַּיָּ֖ה (הַ) ha. “the”

And the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,

הַֽיַּעֲנָ֔ה (הַֽ) hai. “the”הַתַּחְמָ֖ס (הַ) ha. “the”הַשָּׁ֑חַף (הַ) ha. “the”הַנֵּ֖ץ (הַ) ha. “the”

The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,

הַכּ֥וֹס (הַ) ha. “the”הַיַּנְשׁ֖וּף (הַ) hai. “the”וְהַתִּנְשָֽׁמֶת׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

And the pelican, and the gier-eagle, and the cormorant,

וְהַקָּאָ֥ת (הַ) ha. “the”הָרָחָ֖מָה (הָ) ha. “the”הַשָּׁלָֽךְ׃ (הַ) ha. “the”

And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

וְהַ֣חֲסִידָ֔ה (הַ֣) Ha. “the”וְהָאֲנָפָ֖ה (הָ) ha. “the”וְהַדּוּכִיפַ֖ת (הַ) ha. “the”וְהָעֲטַלֵּֽף׃ (הָ) ha. “the”
