I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delighted not.

וּמְגֽוּרֹתָם֙ (וּ) u. “and”וְאֵ֣ין (וְ) ve. “and”וְלֹ֣א (וְ) ve. “and”וּבַאֲשֶׁ֥ר (וּ) u. “and”

Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hate you, that cast you out for my name's sake, have said, Let Jehovah be glorified, that we may see your joy; but it is they that shall be put to shame.

וְנִרְאֶ֥ה (וְ) ve. “so”וְהֵ֥ם (וְ) ve. “and”

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith Jehovah: shall I that cause to bring forth shut [ergänzt: the womb]? saith thy God.

וְלֹ֥א (וְ) ve. “and”

Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her;

וְגִ֥ילוּ (וְ) ve. “and”

For thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream: and ye shall suck [ergänzt: thereof]; ye shall be borne upon the side, and shall be dandled upon the knees.

וּכְנַ֧חַל (וּ) u. “and”וְעַל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

וּבִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם (וּ) u. “and”

And ye shall see [ergänzt: it], and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the tender grass: and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.

וְעַצְמוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם (וְ) ve. “and”

For, behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

וְכַסּוּפָ֖ה (וְ) ve. “and”וְגַעֲרָת֖וֹ (וְ) ve. “and”

For by fire will Jehovah execute judgment, and by his sword, upon all flesh; and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.

וּבְחַרְבּ֖וֹ (וּ) u. “and”

They that sanctify themselves and purify themselves [ergänzt: to go] unto the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, they shall come to an end together, saith Jehovah.

וְהַמִּֽטַּהֲרִ֜ים (וְ) ve. “and”וְהַשֶּׁ֖קֶץ (וְ) ve. “and”וְהָעַכְבָּ֑ר (וְ) ve. “and”

For I [ergänzt: know] their works and their thoughts: [ergänzt: the time] cometh, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and shall see my glory.

וְאָנֹכִ֗י (וְ) ve. “and”וּמַחְשְׁבֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם (וּ) u. “and”וְהַלְּשֹׁנ֑וֹת (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.

וְל֛וּד (וְ) ve. “and”וְיָוָ֑ן (וְ) ve. “and”וְלֹא־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations for an oblation unto Jehovah, upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith Jehovah, as the children of Israel bring their oblation in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.

וּ֠בָרֶכֶב (וּ֠) U. “and”וּבַצַּבִּ֨ים (וּ) u. “and”וּבַפְּרָדִ֜ים (וּ) u. “and”וּבַכִּרְכָּר֗וֹת (וּ) u. “and”

And of them also will I take for priests [ergänzt: and] for Levites, saith Jehovah.

וְגַם־ (וְ) ve. “and”

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.

וְהָאָ֨רֶץ (וְ) ve. “and”וְשִׁמְכֶֽם׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith Jehovah.

וּמִדֵּ֥י (וּ) u. “and”

And they shall go forth, and look upon the dead bodies of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

וְאִשָּׁם֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations.

וּבְטֶ֛רֶם (וּ) u. “and”

But Jehovah said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for to whomsoever I shall send thee thou shalt go, and whatsoever I shall command thee thou shalt speak.

וְאֵ֛ת (וְ) ve. “and”

see, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.

וְעַל־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְלִנְת֖וֹץ (וְ) ve. “and”וּלְהַאֲבִ֣יד (וּ) u. “and”וְלַהֲר֑וֹס (וְ) ve. “and”וְלִנְטֽוֹעַ׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

And the word of Jehovah came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a boiling caldron; and the face thereof is from the north.

וּפָנָ֖יו (וּ) u. “and”

For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith Jehovah; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.

וְעַ֤ל (וְ) ve. “and”וְעַ֖ל (וְ) ve. “and”

Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at them, lest I dismay thee before them.

וְאַתָּה֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

For, behold, I have made thee this day a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

וַאֲנִ֞י (וַ) va. “and”וּלְעַמּ֥וּד (וּ) u. “and”וּלְחֹמ֥וֹת (וּ) u. “and”וּלְעַ֥ם (וּ) u. “and”

And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to deliver thee.
