And the nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory, and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of Jehovah shall name.

וְכָל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Thou shalt also be a crown of beauty in the hand of Jehovah, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

וּצְנִ֥יף (וּ) u. “and”

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah; for Jehovah delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

וּלְאַרְצֵךְ֙ (וּ) u. “and”וּלְאַרְצֵ֖ךְ (וּ) u. “and”וְאַרְצֵ֖ךְ (וְ) ve. “and”

For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee; and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

וּמְשׂ֤וֹשׂ (וּ) u. “and”

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah's remembrancers, take ye no rest,

וְכָל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

וְאַֽל־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְעַד־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Jehovah hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy grain to be food for thine enemies; and foreigners shall not drink thy new wine, for which thou hast labored:

וּבִזְר֣וֹעַ (וּ) u. “and”וְאִם־ (וְ) ve. “and”

but they that have garnered it shall eat it, and praise Jehovah; and they that have gathered it shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.

וּֽמְקַבְּצָ֥יו (וּֽ) u. “and”

Behold, Jehovah hath proclaimed unto the end of the earth, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

וּפְעֻלָּת֖וֹ (וּ) u. “and”

And they shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of Jehovah: and thou shalt be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.

וְלָךְ֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winevat?

וּבְגָדֶ֖יךָ (וּ) u. “and”

I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yea, I trod them in mine anger, and trampled them in my wrath; and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment.

וּמֵֽעַמִּים֙ (וּ) u. “and”וְאֶדְרְכֵ֣ם (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֶרְמְסֵ֖ם (וְ) ve. “and”וְיֵ֤ז (וְ) ve. “and”וְכָל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

וּשְׁנַ֥ת (וּ) u. “and”

And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my wrath, it upheld me.

וְאַבִּיט֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֵ֣ין (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֶשְׁתּוֹמֵ֖ם (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֵ֣ין (וְ) ve. “and”וַחֲמָתִ֖י (וַ) va. “and”

And I trod down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.

וְאָב֤וּס (וְ) ve. “and”וַאֲשַׁכְּרֵ֖ם (וַ) va. “and”וְאוֹרִ֥יד (וְ) ve. “so”

I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah, [ergänzt: and] the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.

וְרַב־ (וְ) ve. “and”וּכְרֹ֥ב (וּ) u. “and”

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ (וּ) u. “and”וּבְחֶמְלָת֖וֹ (וּ) u. “and”

But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, [ergänzt: and] himself fought against them.

וְהֵ֛מָּה (וְ) ve. “and”וְעִצְּב֖וּ (וְ) ve. “and”

Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy heart and thy compassions are restrained toward me.

וּרְאֵ֔ה (וּ) u. “and”וְתִפְאַרְתֶּ֑ךָ (וְ) ve. “and”וּגְב֣וּרֹתֶ֔ךָ (וּ) u. “and”וְֽרַחֲמֶ֖יךָ (וְֽ) ve. “and”

For thou art our Father, though Abraham knoweth us not, and Israel doth not acknowledge us: thou, O Jehovah, art our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting is thy name.

וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל (וְ) ve. “and”

For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen a God besides thee, who worketh for him that waiteth for him.

וּמֵעוֹלָ֥ם (וּ) u. “and”

Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou wast wroth, and we sinned: in them [ergänzt: have we been] of long time; and shall we be saved?

וְעֹ֣שֵׂה (וְ) ve. “and”וְנִוָּשֵֽׁעַ׃ (וְ) ve. “so”

For we are all become as one that is unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as a polluted garment: and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

וּכְבֶ֥גֶד (וּ) u. “and”וַעֲוֹנֵ֖נוּ (וַ) va. “and”

And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee; for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us by means of our iniquities.

וְאֵין־ (וְ) ve. “and”

But now, O Jehovah, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

וְעַתָּ֥ה (וְ) ve. “and”וְאַתָּ֣ה (וְ) ve. “and”וּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה (וּ) u. “and”
