Blessed are yet that sow beside all waters, that send forth the feet of the ox and the ass.

וְהַחֲמֽוֹר׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

Woe to thee that destroyest, and thou wast not destroyed; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! When thou hast ceased to destroy, thou shalt be destroyed; and when thou hast made an end of dealing treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

וְאַתָּה֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וּבוֹגֵ֖ד (וּ) u. “and”וְלֹא־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Jehovah is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness.

וּצְדָקָֽה׃ (וּ) u. “and”

And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge: the fear of Jehovah is thy treasure.

וָדָ֑עַת (וָ) va. “and”

The land mourneth and languisheth; Lebanon is confounded and withereth away; Sharon is like a desert; and Bashan and Carmel shake off [ergänzt: their leaves].

וְנֹעֵ֥ר (וְ) ve. “and”וְכַרְמֶֽל׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.

וּדְע֥וּ (וּ) u. “and”

He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from taking a bribe, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from looking upon evil:

וְדֹבֵ֖ר (וְ) ve. “and”וְעֹצֵ֥ם (וְ) ve. “and”

Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tent that shall not be removed, the stakes whereof shall never be plucked up, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.

וְכָל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

But there Jehovah will be with us in majesty, a place of broad rivers and streams, wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

וְצִ֥י (וְ) ve. “and”

And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.

וּבַל־ (וּ) u. “and”

Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye peoples: let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof; the world, and all things that come forth from it.

וּלְאֻמִּ֖ים (וּ) u. “and”וּמְלֹאָ֔הּ (וּ) u. “and”וְכָל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

For Jehovah hath indignation against all the nations, and wrath against all their host: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.

וְחֵמָ֖ה (וְ) ve. “and”

Their slain also shall be cast out, and the stench of their dead bodies shall come up; and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

וְחַלְלֵיהֶ֣ם (וְ) ve. “and”וּפִגְרֵיהֶ֖ם (וּ) u. “and”

And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll; and all their host shall fade away, as the leaf fadeth from off the vine, and as a fading [ergänzt: leaf] from the fig-tree.

וְכָל־ (וְ) ve. “and”וּכְנֹבֶ֖לֶת (וּ) u. “and”

For my sword hath drunk its fill in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Edom, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.

וְעַל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

The sword of Jehovah is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for Jehovah hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

וְעַתּוּדִ֔ים (וְ) ve. “and”וְטֶ֥בַח (וְ) ve. “and”

And the wild-oxen shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls: and their land shall be drunken with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.

וּפָרִ֖ים (וּ) u. “and”וַעֲפָרָ֖ם (וַ) va. “and”

And the streams of [ergänzt: Edom] shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.

וַעֲפָרָ֖הּ (וַ) va. “and”

It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever; from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

וְיוֹמָם֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

But the pelican and the porcupine shall possess it; and the owl and the raven shall dwell therein: and he will stretch over it the line of confusion, and the plummet of emptiness.

וְקִפּ֔וֹד (וְ) ve. “and”וְיַנְשׁ֥וֹף (וְ) ve. “and”וְעֹרֵ֖ב (וְ) ve. “and”וְאַבְנֵי־ (וְ) ve. “and”

They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there; and all its princes shall be nothing.

וְאֵֽין־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְכָל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And thorns shall come up in its palaces, nettles and thistles in the fortresses thereof; and it shall be a habitation of jackals, a court for ostriches.

וָח֖וֹחַ (וָ) va. “and”

And the wild beasts of the desert shall meet with the wolves, and the wild goat shall cry to his fellow; yea, the night-monster shall settle there, and shall find her a place of rest.

וְשָׂעִ֖יר (וְ) ve. “and”

Seek ye out of the book of Jehovah, and read: no one of these shall be missing, none shall want her mate; for my mouth, it hath commanded, and his Spirit, it hath gathered them.

וּֽקְרָ֔אוּ (וּֽ) u. “and”וְרוּח֖וֹ (וְ) ve. “and”

And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever; from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
