Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

וְֽכָל־ (וְֽ) ve. “and”

She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her; and happy is he that retaineth her.

וְֽתֹמְכֶ֥יהָ (וְֽ) ve. “and”

By his knowledge the deeps were broken up, and the skies drop down the dew.

וּ֝שְׁחָקִ֗ים (וּ֝) u. “and”

My son, let them not depart from thine eyes; keep sound wisdom and discretion:

וּמְזִמָּֽה׃ (וּ) u. “and”

so shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace unto thy neck.

וְיִֽהְי֣וּ (וְ) ve. “so”וְ֝חֵ֗ן (וְ֝) ve. “and”

Then shalt thou walk in thy way securely, and thy foot shall not stumble;

וְ֝רַגְלְךָ֗ (וְ֝) ve. “and”

Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the destruction of the wicked, when it cometh;

וּמִשֹּׁאַ֥ת (וּ) u. “and”

Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to-morrow I will give, when thou hast it by thee.

וָ֭שׁוּב (וָ֭) Va. “and”וּמָחָ֥ר (וּ) u. “and”וְיֵ֣שׁ (וְ) ve. “and”

Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

וְהֽוּא־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Envy not the man of violence, and choose none of his ways.

וְאַל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

For the perverse is an abomination to Jehovah; but his secret is with the upright.

וְֽאֶת־ (וְֽ) ve. “and”

The curse of Jehovah is in the house of the wicked; but he blesseth the habitation of the righteous.

וּנְוֵ֖ה (וּ) u. “and”

He indeed scorneth the scorners; but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

וְ֝לַעֲנָוִ֗ים (וְ֝) ve. “and”

The wise shall inherit glory; but shame shall be the promotion of the foolish.

וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים (וּ֝) u. “and”

Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know intelligence;

וְ֝הַקְשִׁ֗יבוּ (וְ֝) ve. “and”

For I was a son unto my father, tender and an only one in the sight of my mother.

וְ֝יָחִ֗יד (וְ֝) ve. “and”

And he taught me, and said unto me, Let thy heart retain my words; keep my commandments and live.

וֶֽחְיֵֽה׃ (וֶֽ) Ve “and”

Get wisdom, get intelligence: forget [ergänzt: it] not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

וְאַל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Forsake her not, and she shall keep thee; love her, and she shall preserve thee.

וְתִשְׁמְרֶ֑ךָּ (וְ) ve. “and”וְתִצְּרֶֽךָּ׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

The beginning of wisdom [ergänzt: is], Get wisdom; and with all thy getting get intelligence.

וּבְכָל־ (וּ) u. “and”

Exalt her, and she shall promote thee; she shall bring thee to honour when thou dost embrace her.

וּֽתְרוֹמְמֶ֑ךָּ (וּֽ) u. “and”

Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of thy life shall be multiplied.

וְקַ֣ח (וְ) ve. “and”וְיִרְבּ֥וּ (וְ) ve. “so”

When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

וְאִם־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil [ergänzt: men]:

וְאַל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

avoid it, pass not by it; turn from it, and pass away.

וַעֲבֽוֹר׃ (וַ) va. “and”
