And the number of the bricks which they made heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish aught thereof; for they are idle: therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

וְאֶת־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Let more work be laid upon the men, that they may labor therein: and let them not regard vain words.

וְיַעֲשׂוּ־ (וְ) ve. “so”וְאַל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And the task-masters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

וְשֹׁ֣טְרָ֔יו (וְ) ve. “and”

And the task-masters hastened them, saying, Fulfill your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

וְהַנֹּגְשִׂ֖ים (וְ) ve. “and”

There is no straw given to thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thy own people.

וּלְבֵנִ֛ים (וּ) u. “and”וְהִנֵּ֧ה (וְ) ve. “and”וְחָטָ֥את (וְ) ve. “and”

Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the number of bricks.

וְעַתָּה֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וְתֶ֖בֶן (וְ) ve. “and”וְתֹ֥כֶן (וְ) ve. “and”

And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:

וְאֶֽת־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And they said to them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savor to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hands to slay us.

וְיִשְׁפֹּ֑ט (וְ) ve. “and”וּבְעֵינֵ֣י (וּ) u. “and”

For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

וּמֵאָ֞ז (וּ) u. “and”וְהַצֵּ֥ל (וְ) ve. “and”

Then the LORD said to Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh; for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them from his land.

וּבְיָ֣ד (וּ) u. “and”

And I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

וְאֶֽל־ (וְ) ve. “and”וּשְׁמִ֣י (וּ) u. “and”

And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, in which they were strangers.

וְגַ֨ם (וְ) ve. “and”

And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage: and I have remembered my covenant.

וְגַ֣ם׀ (וְ) ve. “and”

Wherefore say to the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with out-stretched arm, and with great judgments:

וּבִשְׁפָטִ֖ים (וּ) u. “and”

And I will bring you into the land, concerning which I swore to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am the LORD.

וּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֑ב (וּֽ) u. “and”

And Moses spoke so to the children of Israel: but they hearkened not to Moses, by reason of anguish of spirit, and cruel bondage.

וְלֹ֤א (וְ) ve. “and”וּמֵעֲבֹדָ֖ה (וּ) u. “and”

Go in, speak to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel depart from his land.

וִֽישַׁלַּ֥ח (וִֽ) vi. “so”

And Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened to me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?

וְאֵיךְ֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וַאֲנִ֖י (וַ) va. “and”

And the LORD spoke to Moses, and to Aaron, and gave them a charge to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

וְאֶֽל־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֶל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

These are the heads of their father's houses: The sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these are the families of Reuben.

וּפַלּוּא֙ (וּ) u. “and”וְכַרְמִ֔י (וְ) ve. “and”

And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman: these are the families of Simeon.

וּבְנֵ֣י (וּ) u. “and”וְיָמִ֤ין (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֹ֙הַד֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וְיָכִ֣ין (וְ) ve. “and”וְצֹ֔חַר (וְ) ve. “and”וְשָׁא֖וּל (וְ) ve. “and”

And these are the names of the sons of Levi, according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. And the years of the life of Levi were a hundred and thirty-seven years.

וְאֵ֨לֶּה (וְ) ve. “and”וּקְהָ֖ת (וּ) u. “and”וּמְרָרִ֑י (וּ) u. “and”וּשְׁנֵי֙ (וּ) u. “and”וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֛ים (וּ) u. “and”וּמְאַ֖ת (וּ) u. “and”

The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families.

וְשִׁמְעִ֖י (וְ) ve. “and”

And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were a hundred and thirty-three years.

וּבְנֵ֣י (וּ) u. “and”וְיִצְהָ֔ר (וְ) ve. “and”וְחֶבְר֖וֹן (וְ) ve. “and”וְעֻזִּיאֵ֑ל (וְ) ve. “and”וּשְׁנֵי֙ (וּ) u. “and”וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֛ים (וּ) u. “and”וּמְאַ֖ת (וּ) u. “and”

And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Levi, according to their generations.

וּבְנֵ֥י (וּ) u. “and”וּמוּשִׁ֑י (וּ) u. “and”
