He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou find refuge: his truth is a shield and buckler.

וְתַֽחַת־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְֽסֹחֵרָ֣ה (וְֽ) ve. “and”

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [ergänzt: but] it shall not come nigh thee.

וּרְבָבָ֥ה (וּ) u. “and”

Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked.

וְשִׁלֻּמַ֖ת (וְ) ve. “and”

There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.

וְ֝נֶ֗גַע (וְ֝) ve. “and”

Thou shalt tread upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under foot.

וָפֶ֣תֶן (וָ) va. “and”וְתַנִּֽין׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

וַאֲפַלְּטֵ֑הוּ (וַ) va. “and”

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.

וְֽאֶעֱנֵ֗הוּ (וְֽ) ve. “and”וַֽאֲכַבְּדֵֽהוּ׃ (וַֽ) Va. “and”

With length of days will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

וְ֝אַרְאֵ֗הוּ (וְ֝) ve. “and”

It is good to give thanks unto Jehovah, and to sing psalms unto thy name, O Most High;

וּלְזַמֵּ֖ר (וּ) u. “and”

To declare thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights,

וֶ֝אֱמֽוּנָתְךָ֗ (וֶ֝) ve. “and”

Upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the lute; upon the Higgaion with the harp.

וַעֲלֵי־ (וַ) va. “and”

A brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand it.

וּ֝כְסִ֗יל (וּ֝) u. “and”

And thou, Jehovah, art on high for evermore.

וְאַתָּ֥ה (וְ) ve. “and”

They are still vigorous in old age, they are full of sap and green;

וְרַֽעֲנַנִּ֣ים (וְ) ve. “and”

To shew that Jehovah is upright: [ergänzt: he is] my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

וְֽלֹא־ (וְֽ) ve. “and”

They crush thy people, O Jehovah, and afflict thine inheritance;

וְֽנַחֲלָתְךָ֥ (וְֽ) ve. “and”

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless,

וְגֵ֣ר (וְ) ve. “and”וִֽיתוֹמִ֣ים (וִֽ) vi. “and”

And say, Jah will not see, neither will the God of Jacob regard [ergänzt: it].

וְלֹא־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Understand, ye brutish among the people; and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים (וּ֝) u. “and”

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jah, and whom thou teachest out of thy law;

וּֽמִתּוֹרָתְךָ֥ (וּֽ) u. “and”

For Jehovah will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;

וְ֝נַחֲלָת֗וֹ (וְ֝) ve. “and”

For judgment shall return unto righteousness, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

וְ֝אַחֲרָ֗יו (וְ֝) ve. “and”

They band together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.

וְדָ֖ם (וְ) ve. “and”

But Jehovah will be my high tower; and my God the rock of my refuge.

וֵ֝אלֹהַ֗י (וֵ֝) ve. “and”

And he will bring upon them their iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil: Jehovah our God will cut them off.

וּבְרָעָתָ֥ם (וּ) u. “and”
