Sing psalms unto Jehovah, ye saints of his, and give thanks in remembrance of his holiness.

וְ֝הוֹד֗וּ (וְ֝) ve. “and”

For a moment [ergänzt: is passed] in his anger, a life in his favour; at even weeping cometh for the night, and at morn there is rejoicing.

וְלַבֹּ֥קֶר (וְ) ve. “and”

As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

וַ֭אֲנִי (וַ֭) Va. “and”

I called to thee, Jehovah, and unto the Lord did I make supplication:

וְאֶל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Hear, O Jehovah, and be gracious unto me; Jehovah, be my helper.

וְחָנֵּ֑נִי (וְ) ve. “and”

That [ergänzt: my] glory may sing psalms of thee, and not be silent. Jehovah my God, I will praise thee for ever.

וְלֹ֣א (וְ) ve. “and”

For thou art my rock and my fortress; and, for thy name's sake, thou wilt lead me and guide me.

וּמְצוּדָתִ֣י (וּ) u. “and”וּלְמַ֥עַן (וּ) u. “and”וּֽתְנַהֲלֵֽנִי׃ (וּֽ) U. “and”

I have hated them that observe lying vanities; and as for me, I have confided in Jehovah.

וַ֝אֲנִ֗י (וַ֝) va. “and”

I will be glad and rejoice in thy loving-kindness, for thou hast seen mine affliction; thou hast known the troubles of my soul,

וְאֶשְׂמְחָ֗ה (וְ) ve. “and”

And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large place.

וְלֹ֣א (וְ) ve. “and”

Be gracious unto me, Jehovah, for I am in trouble: mine eye wasteth away with vexation, my soul and my belly.

וּבִטְנִֽי׃ (וּ) u. “and”

For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing; my strength faileth through mine iniquity, and my bones are wasted.

וּשְׁנוֹתַ֪י (וּ) u. “and”וַעֲצָמַ֥י (וַ) va. “and”

More than to all mine oppressors, I am become exceedingly a reproach, even to my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that see me without flee from me.

וְלִשֲׁכֵנַ֨י׀ (וְ) ve. “and”וּפַ֪חַד (וּ) u. “and”

But I confided in thee, Jehovah; I said, thou art my God.

וַאֲנִ֤י׀ (וַ) va. “and”

My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from my persecutors.

וּמֵרֹדְפָֽי׃ (וּ) u. “and”

Let the lying lips become dumb, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and contempt.

וָבֽוּז׃ (וָ) va. “and”

As for me, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes; nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

וַאֲנִ֤י׀ (וַ) va. “and”

Love Jehovah, all ye his saints. Jehovah preserveth the faithful, and plentifully requiteth the proud doer.

וּמְשַׁלֵּ֥ם (וּ) u. “and”

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all ye that hope in Jehovah.

וְיַאֲמֵ֣ץ (וְ) ve. “so”

Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah reckoneth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile!

וְאֵ֖ין (וְ) ve. “and”

For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my moisture was turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

וָלַיְלָה֮ (וָ) va. “and”

I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah, and *thou* forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

וַעֲוֹ֘נִ֤י (וַ) va. “and”וְאַתָּ֨ה (וְ) ve. “and”

I will instruct thee and teach thee the way in which thou shalt go; I will counsel [ergänzt: thee] with mine eye upon thee.

וְֽאוֹרְךָ֗ (וְֽ) ve. “and”

Be ye not as a horse, as a mule, which have no understanding: whose trappings must be bit and bridle, for restraint, or they will not come unto thee.

וָרֶ֣סֶן (וָ) va. “and”

Many sorrows hath the wicked; but he that confideth in Jehovah, loving-kindness shall encompass him.

וְהַבּוֹטֵ֥חַ (וְ) ve. “and”
