וּבְנֵ֣י (וּ) u. “and”וְחַגִּ֖י (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֶצְבֹּ֑ן (וְ) ve. “and”וַֽאֲרוֹדִ֖י (וַֽ) va. “and”וְאַרְאֵלִֽי׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister. And the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.

וּבְנֵ֣י (וּ) u. “and”וְיִשְׁוָ֛ה (וְ) ve. “and”וְיִשְׁוִ֥י (וְ) ve. “and”וּבְרִיעָ֖ה (וּ) u. “and”וְשֶׂ֣רַח (וְ) ve. “and”וּבְנֵ֣י (וּ) u. “and”וּמַלְכִּיאֵֽל׃ (וּ) u. “and”

The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.

וּבִנְיָמִֽן׃ (וּ) u. “and”

And to Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On bore to him.

וְאֶת־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.

וּבְנֵ֣י (וּ) u. “and”וָבֶ֙כֶר֙ (וָ) va. “and”וְאַשְׁבֵּ֔ל (וְ) ve. “and”וְנַעֲמָ֖ן (וְ) ve. “and”וָרֹ֑אשׁ (וָ) va. “and”וְחֻפִּ֖ים (וְ) ve. “and”וָאָֽרְדְּ׃ (וָ) va. “and”

And the sons of Dan; Hushim.

וּבְנֵי־ (וּ) u. “and”

And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.

וּבְנֵ֖י (וּ) u. “and”וְגוּנִ֖י (וְ) ve. “and”וְיֵ֥צֶר (וְ) ve. “and”וְשִׁלֵּֽם׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, who came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were sixty and six.

וָשֵֽׁשׁ׃ (וָ) va. “and”

And the sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, who came into Egypt, were seventy.

וּבְנֵ֥י (וּ) u. “and”

And he sent Judah before him to Joseph, to direct his face to Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

וְאֶת־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And Joseph said to his brethren, and to his father's house, I will go up, and show Pharaoh, and say to him, My brethren, and my father's house, who were in the land of Canaan are come to me.

וְאֶל־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְאַגִּ֣ידָה (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֹֽמְרָ֣ה (וְ) ve. “and”וּבֵית־ (וּ) u. “and”

And the men are shepherds, for their employment hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.

וְהָאֲנָשִׁים֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וְצֹאנָ֧ם (וְ) ve. “and”וּבְקָרָ֛ם (וּ) u. “and”וְכָל־ (וְ) ve. “and”

That ye shall say, The occupation of thy servants hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.

וְעַד־ (וְ) ve. “and”

Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, have come from the land of Canaan; and behold, they are in the land of Goshen.

וְאַחַ֜י (וְ) ve. “and”וְצֹאנָ֤ם (וְ) ve. “and”וּבְקָרָם֙ (וּ) u. “and”וְכָל־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְהִנָּ֖ם (וְ) ve. “and”

And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them to Pharaoh.

וּמִקְצֵ֣ה (וּ) u. “and”

They said moreover to Pharaoh, We have come to sojourn in the land: for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks, for the famine is severe in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.

וְעַתָּ֛ה (וְ) ve. “and”

And Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren have come to thee:

וְאַחֶ֖יךָ (וְ) ve. “and”

The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell; and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.

וְאֶת־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְאִם־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְיֶשׁ־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And Jacob said to Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty years: few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, nor have they attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.

וּמְאַ֖ת (וּ) u. “and”וְרָעִ֗ים (וְ) ve. “and”וְלֹ֣א (וְ) ve. “and”

And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.

וְאֶת־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father's household, with bread according to their families.

וְאֶת־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֵ֖ת (וְ) ve. “and”

And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very distressing, so that the land of Egypt, and all the land of Canaan, fainted by reason of the famine.

וְלֶ֤חֶם (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֶ֣רֶץ (וְ) ve. “and”

And Joseph gathered all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house.

וּבְאֶ֣רֶץ (וּ) u. “and”

And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence: for the money faileth.

וּמֵאֶ֣רֶץ (וּ) u. “and”וְלָ֥מָּה (וְ) ve. “and”

And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money hath failed.

וְאֶתְּנָ֥ה (וְ) ve. “so”
