And ye shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer thou shalt give the less inheritance: wheresoever the lot falleth to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye inherit.

וְלַמְעַט֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

וְאִם־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְלִצְנִינִ֖ם (וְ) ve. “and”

And for the western border, ye shall have the great sea and the border [ergänzt: thereof]: this shall be your west border.

וּגְב֣וּל (וּ) u. “and”וּגְב֑וּל (וּ) u. “and”

And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall mark out for you mount Hor;

וְזֶֽה־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which Jehovah hath commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe;

וַחֲצִ֥י (וַ) va. “and”

for the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their fathers' houses, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their fathers' houses, have received, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:

וּמַטֵּ֥ה (וּ) u. “and”וַחֲצִי֙ (וַ) va. “and”

the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.

וַחֲצִ֣י (וַ) va. “and”

These are the names of the men that shall divide the land unto you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

וִיהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ (וִ) vi. “and”

And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance.

וְנָשִׂ֥יא (וְ) ve. “and”

And these are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

וְאֵ֖לֶּה (וְ) ve. “and”

And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

וּלְמַטֵּה֙ (וּ) u. “and”

And of the tribe of the children of Dan a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli.

וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה (וּ) u. “and”

And of the tribe of the children of Ephraim a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה (וּ) u. “and”

And of the tribe of the children of Zebulun a prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה (וּ) u. “and”

And of the tribe of the children of Issachar a prince, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה (וּ) u. “and”

And of the tribe of the children of Asher a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה (וּ) u. “and”

And of the tribe of the children of Naphtali a prince, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

וּלְמַטֵּ֥ה (וּ) u. “and”

Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and suburbs for the cities round about them shall ye give unto the Levites.

וּמִגְרָ֗שׁ (וּ) u. “and”

And the cities shall they have to dwell in; and their suburbs shall be for their cattle, and for their substance, and for all their beasts.

וּמִגְרְשֵׁיהֶ֗ם (וּ) u. “and”וְלִרְכֻשָׁ֔ם (וְ) ve. “and”וּלְכֹ֖ל (וּ) u. “and”

And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall be from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.

וּמִגְרְשֵׁי֙ (וּ) u. “and”וָח֔וּצָה (וָ) va. “and”

And ye shall measure without the city for the east side two thousand cubits, and for the south side two thousand cubits, and for the west side two thousand cubits, and for the north side two thousand cubits, the city being in the midst. This shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.

וְאֶת־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֶת־ (וְ) ve. “and”וְאֵ֨ת (וְ) ve. “and”וְהָעִ֣יר (וְ) ve. “and”

And the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which ye shall give for the manslayer to flee unto: and besides them ye shall give forty and two cities.

וְאֵ֣ת (וְ) ve. “and”וַעֲלֵיהֶ֣ם (וַ) va. “and”וּשְׁתַּ֖יִם (וּ) u. “and”

All the cities which ye shall give to the Levites shall be forty and eight cities; them [ergänzt: shall ye give] with their suburbs.

וּשְׁמֹנֶ֖ה (וּ) u. “and”וְאֶת־ (וְ) ve. “and”

And concerning the cities which ye shall give of the possession of the children of Israel, from the many ye shall take many; and from the few ye shall take few: every one according to his inheritance which he inheriteth shall give of his cities unto the Levites.

וְהֶֽעָרִ֗ים (וְ) ve. “and”וּמֵאֵ֥ת (וּ) u. “and”

And the cities shall be unto you for refuge from the avenger, that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation for judgment.

וְלֹ֤א (וְ) ve. “and”
