Even all these things hath my hand made, and all these things have been, saith Jehovah. But to this man will I look: to the afflicted and contrite in spirit, and who trembleth at my word.

וַיִּהְי֥וּ (וַ) va “and”

I also will choose their calamities, and will bring their fears upon them; because I called, and none answered, I spoke, and they did not hear, but did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delight not.

וַיַּעֲשׂ֤וּ (וַ) va “and”

Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child.

וְהִמְלִ֥יטָה (וְ) ve. “and”

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith Jehovah; I who cause to bring forth, shall I shut [ergänzt: the womb]? saith thy God.

וְעָצַ֖רְתִּי (וְ) ve. “and”

because ye shall suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; because ye shall drink out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

וּשְׂבַעְתֶּ֔ם (וּ) u. “and”וְהִתְעַנַּגְתֶּ֖ם (וְ) ve. “and”

For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing torrent; and ye shall suck, ye shall be carried upon the side, and be dandled upon the knees.

וִֽינַקְתֶּ֑ם (וִֽ) vi. “and”

And ye shall see [ergänzt: this], and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the grass; and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants, and he will have indignation toward his enemies.

וּרְאִיתֶם֙ (וּ) u. “and”וְשָׂ֣שׂ (וְ) ve. “and”וְנוֹדְעָ֤ה (וְ) ve. “and”וְזָעַ֖ם (וְ) ve. “and”

For by fire and by his sword will Jehovah enter into judgment with all flesh: and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.

וְרַבּ֖וּ (וְ) ve. “and”

And I, -- their works and their thoughts [ergänzt: are before me]. ... [ergänzt: The time] cometh for the gathering of all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

וּבָ֖אוּ (וּ) u. “and”וְרָא֥וּ (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow; to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory: and they shall declare my glory among the nations.

וְשַׂמְתִּ֨י (וְ) ve. “and”וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֣י (וְ) ve. “and”וְהִגִּ֥ידוּ (וְ) ve. “and”

And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations as an oblation unto Jehovah, upon horses, and in chariots, and in covered waggons, and upon mules, and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain, to Jerusalem, saith Jehovah, as the children of Israel bring an oblation in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.

וְהֵבִ֣יאוּ (וְ) ve. “and”

And it shall come to pass from new moon to new moon, and from sabbath to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, saith Jehovah.

וְהָיָ֗ה (וְ) ve. “and”

And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence unto all flesh.

וְיָצְא֣וּ (וְ) ve. “and”וְרָא֔וּ (וְ) ve. “and”וְהָי֥וּ (וְ) ve. “and”

it came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive, in the fifth month.

וַיְהִ֗י (וַ) va “and”

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

וַיְהִ֥י (וַ) va “and”

And I said, Alas, Lord Jehovah! behold, I cannot speak; for I am a child.

וָאֹמַ֗ר (וָ) va. “and”

But Jehovah said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for thou shalt go to whomsoever I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר (וַ) va “and”

And Jehovah put forth his hand and touched my mouth; and Jehovah said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח (וַ) va “and”וַיַּגַּ֖ע (וַ) va “and”וַיֹּ֤אמֶר (וַ) va “and”

And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond-tree.

וַיְהִ֤י (וַ) va “and”וָאֹמַ֕ר (וָ) va. “and”

And Jehovah said unto me, Thou hast well seen; for I am watchful over my word to perform it.

וַיֹּ֧אמֶר (וַ) va “and”

And the word of Jehovah came to me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething-pot, and its face is from the north.

וַיְהִ֨י (וַ) va “and”וָאֹמַ֗ר (וָ) va. “and”

And Jehovah said unto me, Out of the north shall evil break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר (וַ) va “and”

For behold, I am calling all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith Jehovah, and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah:

וּבָ֡אוּ (וּ) u. “and”וְֽנָתְנוּ֩ (וְֽ) ve. “and”

and I will pronounce my judgments against them for all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

וְדִבַּרְתִּ֤י (וְ) ve. “and”וַֽיְקַטְּרוּ֙ (וַֽ) va “and”וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּ (וַ) va “and”

Thou, therefore, gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I shall command thee: be not dismayed at them, lest I cause thee to be dismayed before them.

וְקַמְתָּ֙ (וְ) ve. “and”וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ (וְ) ve. “and”
