Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure:

וַ֝תַּשְׁקֵ֗מוֹ (וַ֝) va. “and”

Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt; thou didst cast out the nations, and plant it:

וַתִּטָּעֶֽהָ׃ (וַ) va. “and”

Thou preparedst space before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land;

וַתַּשְׁרֵ֥שׁ (וַ) va. “and”וַתְּמַלֵּא־ (וַ) va. “and”

Why hast thou broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way do pluck it?

וְ֝אָר֗וּהָ (וְ֝) ve. “and”

Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder; I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

וָאֲחַ֫לְּצֶ֥ךָּ (וָ) va. “and”

So I gave them up unto their own hearts' stubbornness: they walked after their own counsels.

וָֽ֭אֲשַׁלְּחֵהוּ (וָֽ֭) Va. “and”

And he would have fed them with the finest of wheat; yea, with honey out of the rock would I have satisfied thee.

וַֽ֭יַּאֲכִילֵהוּ (וַֽ֭) Va “and”

For great is thy loving-kindness toward me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.

וְהִצַּ֥לְתָּ (וְ) ve. “and”

Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne from generation to generation. Selah.

וּבָנִ֨יתִי (וּ) u. “and”

Then thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

וַתֹּ֗אמֶר (וַ) va. “and”

But I will beat down his adversaries before his face, and will smite them that hate him.

וְכַתּוֹתִ֣י (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י (וְ) ve. “and”

And I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י (וְ) ve. “and”

Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

וּפָקַדְתִּ֣י (וּ) u. “and”

But thou hast rejected and cast off; thou hast been very wroth with thine anointed:

וַתִּמְאָ֑ס (וַ) va. “and”

Before the mountains were brought forth, and thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from eternity to eternity thou art God.

וַתְּח֣וֹלֵֽל (וַ) va. “and”

Thou makest [ergänzt: mortal] man to return to dust, and sayest, Return, children of men.

וַ֝תֹּ֗אמֶר (וַ֝) va. “and”

In the morning it flourisheth and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down and withereth.

וְחָלָ֑ף (וְ) ve. “and”וְיָבֵֽשׁ׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if, by reason of strength, they be fourscore years, yet their pride is labour and vanity, for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

וַנָּעֻֽפָה׃ (וַ) va. “and”

When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed for ever.

וַ֭יָּצִיצוּ (וַ֭) Va “and”

But my horn shalt thou exalt like a buffalo's: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

וַתָּ֣רֶם (וַ) va. “and”

And mine eye shall see [ergänzt: its desire] on mine enemies; mine ears shall hear [ergänzt: it] of the evil-doers that rise up against me.

וַתַּבֵּ֥ט (וַ) va. “and”

And say, Jah will not see, neither will the God of Jacob regard [ergänzt: it].

וַ֭יֹּ֣אמְרוּ (וַ֭) va “and”

But Jehovah will be my high tower; and my God the rock of my refuge.

וַיְהִ֬י (וַ) va “and”

And he will bring upon them their iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil: Jehovah our God will cut them off.

וַיָּ֤שֶׁב (וַ) va “and”
