H9001–/וַ–v

And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, And settest me before thy face for ever.

וַתַּצִּיבֵ֖נִי (וַ) va. “and”

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And [ergänzt: why] art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him [ergänzt: For] the help of his countenance.

וַתֶּהֱמִ֪י (וַ) va. “and”

Thou didst drive out the nations with thy hand; But them thou didst plant: Thou didst afflict the peoples; But them thou didst spread abroad.

וַתִּטָּעֵ֑ם (וַ) va. “and”וַֽתְּשַׁלְּחֵֽם׃ (וַֽ) Va. “and”

But now thou hast cast [ergänzt: us] off, and brought us to dishonor, And goest not forth with our hosts.

וַתַּכְלִימֵ֑נוּ (וַ) va. “and”

Our heart is not turned back, Neither have our steps declined from thy way,

וַתֵּ֥ט (וַ) va. “and”

That thou hast sore broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.

וַתְּכַ֖ס (וַ) va. “and”

If we have forgotten the name of our God, Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;

וַנִּפְרֹ֥שׂ (וַ) va. “and”

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness: Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

וַתִּשְׂנָ֫א (וַ) va. “and”

He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariots in the fire.

וְקִצֵּ֣ץ (וְ) ve. “and”

(For the redemption of their life is costly, And it faileth for ever;)

וְחָדַ֥ל (וְ) ve. “and”

For he shall see it. Wise men die; The fool and the brutish alike perish, And leave their wealth to others.

וְעָזְב֖וּ (וְ) ve. “and”

They are appointed as a flock for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; And their beauty shall be for Sheol to consume, That there be no habitation for it.

וַיִּרְדּ֘וּ (וַ) va “and”

The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, hath spoken, And called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

וַיִּקְרָא־ (וַ) va “and”

And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; For God is judge himself. Selah

וַיַּגִּ֣ידוּ (וַ) va “and”

But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, And that thou hast taken my covenant in thy mouth,

וַתִּשָּׂ֖א (וַ) va. “and”

Seeing thou hatest instruction, And castest my words behind thee?

וַתַּשְׁלֵ֖ךְ (וַ) va. “and”

When thou sawest a thief, thou consentedst with him, And hast been partaker with adulterers.

וַתִּ֣רֶץ (וַ) va. “and”

וַיַּגֵּ֪ד (וַ) va “and”וַיֹּ֥אמֶר (וַ) va “and”

God will likewise destroy thee for ever; He will take thee up, and pluck thee out of thy tent, And root thee out of the land of the living. Selah

וְשֵֽׁרֶשְׁךָ֨ (וְ) ve. “and”

Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his wickedness.

וַ֭יִּבְטַח (וַ֭) Va “and”

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ (וַ) va “and”

Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, And horror hath overwhelmed me.

וַ֝תְּכַסֵּ֗נִי (וַ֝) va. “and”

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then would I fly away, and be at rest.

וָאֹמַ֗ר (וָ) va. “and”

Evening, and morning, and at noonday, will I complain, and moan; And he will hear my voice.

וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע (וַ) va “and”

וַֽיִּשְׁמְר֥וּ (וַֽ) va “and”
