And Jehovah will take away from thee all sickness; and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, will he put upon thee, but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

וְהֵסִ֧יר (וְ) ve. “and”וּנְתָנָ֖ם (וּ) u. “and”

And thou shalt consume all the peoples that Jehovah thy God shall deliver unto thee; thine eye shall not pity them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

וְאָכַלְתָּ֣ (וְ) ve. “and”

And Jehovah thy God will cast out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

וְנָשַׁל֩ (וְ) ve. “and”

But Jehovah thy God will deliver them up before thee, and will discomfit them with a great discomfiture, until they be destroyed.

וּנְתָנָ֛ם (וּ) u. “and”וְהָמָם֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

And he will deliver their kings into thy hand, and thou shalt make their name to perish from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.

וְנָתַ֤ן (וְ) ve. “and”וְהַאֲבַדְתָּ֣ (וְ) ve. “and”

The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein; for it is an abomination to Jehovah thy God.

וְלָקַחְתָּ֣ (וְ) ve. “and”

And thou shalt not bring an abomination into thy house, and become a devoted thing like unto it: thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a devoted thing.

וְהָיִ֥יתָ (וְ) ve. “and”

All the commandment which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Jehovah sware unto your fathers.

וּרְבִיתֶ֗ם (וּ) u. “and”וּבָאתֶם֙ (וּ) u. “and”וִֽירִשְׁתֶּ֣ם (וִֽ) vi. “and”

And thou shalt remember all the way which Jehovah thy God hath led thee these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble thee, to prove thee, to know what was in thy heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or not.

וְזָכַרְתָּ֣ (וְ) ve. “and”

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by everything that proceedeth out of the mouth of Jehovah doth man live.

וַֽיְעַנְּךָ֮ (וַֽ) va “and”וַיַּרְעִבֶךָ֒ (וַ) va “and”וַיַּֽאֲכִֽלְךָ֤ (וַ) va “and”

And thou shalt consider in thy heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so Jehovah thy God chasteneth thee.

וְיָדַעְתָּ֖ (וְ) ve. “and”

And thou shalt keep the commandments of Jehovah thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

וְשָׁ֣מַרְתָּ֔ (וְ) ve. “and”

And thou shalt eat and be full, and thou shalt bless Jehovah thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.

וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ (וְ) ve. “and”וְשָׂבָ֑עְתָּ (וְ) ve. “and”וּבֵֽרַכְתָּ֙ (וּ) u. “and”

lest, when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;

וְשָׂבָ֑עְתָּ (וְ) ve. “and”וְיָשָֽׁבְתָּ׃ (וְ) ve. “and”

then thy heart be lifted up, and thou forget Jehovah thy God, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;

וְרָ֖ם (וְ) ve. “and”וְשָֽׁכַחְתָּ֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

and [ergänzt: lest] thou say in thy heart, My power and the might of my hand hath gotten me this wealth.

וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ (וְ) ve. “and”

But thou shalt remember Jehovah thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as at this day.

וְזָֽכַרְתָּ֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

And it shall be, if thou shalt forget Jehovah thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

וְהָיָ֗ה (וְ) ve. “and”וְהָֽלַכְתָּ֗ (וְ) ve. “and”וַעֲבַדְתָּ֖ם (וַ) va. “and”וְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִ֣יתָ (וְ) ve. “and”

Know therefore this day, that Jehovah thy God is he who goeth over before thee as a devouring fire; he will destroy them, and he will bring them down before thee: so shalt thou drive them out, and make them to perish quickly, as Jehovah hath spoken unto thee.

וְיָדַעְתָּ֣ (וְ) ve. “and”וְהֽוֹרַשְׁתָּ֤ם (וְ) ve. “and”וְהַֽאַבַדְתָּם֙ (וְ) ve. “and”

Know therefore, that Jehovah thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.

וְיָדַעְתָּ֗ (וְ) ve. “and”

Also in Horeb ye provoked Jehovah to wrath, and Jehovah was angry with you to destroy you.

וַיִּתְאַנַּ֧ף (וַ) va “and”

When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which Jehovah made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights; I did neither eat bread nor drink water.

וָאֵשֵׁ֣ב (וָ) va. “and”

And Jehovah delivered unto me the two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them [ergänzt: was written] according to all the words, which Jehovah speak with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.

וַיִּתֵּ֨ן (וַ) va “and”

And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that Jehovah gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.

וַיְהִ֗י (וַ) va “and”

And Jehovah said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people that thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר (וַ) va “and”
